Why I hate drinking opposed to toking.

I really dont like drinking alcohol but love toking. I really dont like drinking it just so inferior to smoking weed.

When I drink after a few pints I am only going for a piss I just feel constantly full. When I am not having a piss or talking to someone I forgot how much I disliked I am standing at the bar being touched by overweight middle aged women and having to stand next to some old guy that feels the need to talk to you. Most places where I live that are any good are always packed. I can spend half an hour getting served.

Then we usually go onto a club. Wow whoever made those things is laughing at us now. Firstly you have to wait outside for half an hour usually in the pissing rain because this the UK. Secondly you pay upto a tenner to get in. You go into the club its so dark you usually fall down the stairs onto to some big dude spilling his drink in the process. So you go to the bar and get served by some nice young lass who you know is out of your league you asked for double the amount of drinks you want but your friends are skint and you have to keep the big bloke happy for spilling his drink. Its probably a fiver a drink of anything decent. You cant sit down because there are no chairs just a huge dancefloor with all the really pissed people stumbling along to music so loud you cant hear any of your friends talk never mind understand what they say.

So you finally get out the club about 3am and feel an overwellming urge to eat something your dog would think twice about eating. So you walk to the pizza place in the pissing rain wait half an hour to get your pizza. Go to the taxi rank and wait for another half an hour. You get home minus your pizza because the taxi driver wouldnt let you keep it. Go to the toilet for the 100th time that evening. Then stumble up stairs to bed and fall asleep either on the stairs or someone else bedroom.


Toking on the other is just so much better. I admit it is harder to get hold of than beer but it is so much better.

You call your dealer and go to pick it up weigh it than give him the cash. So you get the quarter home and find it mesmirising to look at. A nice purple or blue tinge to the bud. You open the bag and smell it. It just smells sooo good.

You stay at home and just get someone round or go to someones house. Sit down in comfortable chairs with some decent music on in the warmth of your own house. Watch abit of telly and maybe play a game. Go to sleep at a reasonable hour.

You get sooo high but feel so in control unlike alcohol that just makes everything blurry and makes you look like a wanker. You arent feeling ill because you havent drank 10 pints just breathed in the wonderful THC.

You wake up in the morning not the afternoon lol and you have no hang over you dont look like you have been dragged through a hedge backwards naked!

You dont wake up and remember what you did last night and your friends may never talk to you again because you either got off with there girlfriend or just disappeared without saying goodbye usually because you arent thinking full stop.

hey, right on, i would much rather blaze then drink any night. it's much easier to get your shit done and just chill. not to say i dont drink, but i just drink on rare occasions with my buddys...last night was my first time drinking in a month...plus trees are much healthier...

Smart people do not drink alcohol because of the reasons listed above.
Self induced agony just doesn't make any sense to me and that is how I felt after too many nights of drinking before I got smart and quit, agonizingly shitty.

Yeah I got wasted on friday and I decided to only drink beer, but even beer made me sick so fuck drinking, toke up.

Oh yeah, and some people find the smell/taste of weed terrible. I smell it and im like "Mmmmmmm, soo good" while others are repulsed.

Alcohol is just so self-destructive. I'll take a bud over a brew any ol' day of the fucking week.

Yea ill take bud over brew but I must say some of my best memories are with alcohol. And yea some of the worst =/. But same goes both ways but bud for sure.

Alcohol is nice.
Theres a drink called Jack Daniels people.
Weed affects short term memory aswell.
But drink will fuck you up if you keep doing it.
If Its in moderation and if you look after yourself, its all good.

That is true for most people but 12% of the population of earth is like me and can't drink in moderation. Once I start drinking, I do not stop until the cops bring me in to the klink. So I do not drink at all and have not for over 6 years now.
But I do smoke marijuana and can do that in moderation, thank you:thumbsup:

Booze, especially beer, has always made me sick. I get severe headaches from malt. (allergies) but I kinda like tequilla; it's more like getting stoned than drunk although it has been years since I've drank any. I'm on methadone and I love to smoke weed. It relaxes me.:rasta:

I agree. My experiences with clubs is about the same as yours, except replace rain with snow. I'd rather drink at somebodies place instead of going out. Gettin drunk with a bunch of friends and having a good rowdy old time... thats where its at. Given the choice though I'd pick weed over alcy any day.

Yeah man, one night we all got drunk off tequila and had a pretty nice UFC fight in my friends garage. After about 2 mins I was tired!:dance:

i like both but i like bud so so much more. i dont like drinking as mcuh as most people and like smoking more than most people. you cant really compare the two though they are nothing alike that is like comparing apples and oranges both have their good qualities

Ive recently started drinking more spirits when im out, the feeling seems different and more preferable, i dont have to consume stupid amounts of fizzy liquid to feel drunk.
But i do think about how concentrated shots are and how bad they must be for my body alcohol bieng a poison and that.

i'm with suhl. the most fun things with smoking seem so stupid when drunk and vice versa. around my parts though there was recently like a 795 lb bust and all the MAJOR suppliers have been cut off, and all the home growers are holding there shit! AND ON TOP OF THAT i'm under 21 and the only place that sells to minors JUST got busted yesterday... hard times in my neck

What, put it in your mouth and swallow? Yeah, that's a real difficult skill to master. How long did it take you to get that one down?

People always tell me that alcohol is an acquired taste. But the way I see it, if something doesn't taste good the first time it passes your lips, then it doesn't belong in your mouth a second time. But, just like with cigarettes, people start out doing it because they think it makes them cool.

Good alcohol? As far as I'm concerned, all alcohol is the same. ALCOHOL that is, not drinks. ALCOHOL does smell like shit, ALCOHOL does taste like shit, if you say otherwise you are in DENIAL. Remember, alcohol is whats in beer and liquor. Why do you think people mix drinks and put stuff other than alcohol in it? Cause pure alcohol is a lot to handle. If you really love alcohol so much, remember, alcohol, not drinks, then you'd be drinkin' straight moonshine 24/7.

Me personally, I like weed much better, but I won't pass up a drink. I'm only 16 though and really...never drink, I've drank plenty of times but I drink like not even 5 times a year at most (now). I'm only 16 though so I'll have plenty more time to experiment with it, especially when I'm of age. For me though, the only thing about alcohol is that it gives you that "fucked up" feeling, shits distorted, sometimes you can't see straight, sometimes you can't control your movements well, sometimes your sick, etc. However sweet cannabis always produces the desired effects for me. I'll take a good high over a good drunk any day.

And yet many parents such as mine, prefer me drinking over toking

i think everyone will agree, the taste of a huge hit is mcuhhhhhh better then a shot of hard alcohol

It's hard to explain, and if you can't grasp it, then you shouldn't be drinking (and it sounds like you arn't, which is great). You really do have to learn how to drink to avoid getting sick...it can't really be explained any other way...unless you are one of the lucky ones who never gets sick somehow.
