Congrats BABR ...
start reading about plant care!!!
and take a picture for us.. : )
we love baby pictures in these parts!!!
Reading, reading and more reading :D I'm growing this one with natural sunlight and hoping that my cats won't be too interested in it. Today is the first day and I'm watching over it, and keeping my fingers crossed.
build a moat around your plant cuz the cats wont wanna swim to get to it
watch out, cats are potheads, they'll eat your plants. seriously.
love,kp
Yeah Kp, just them sniffing my soil makes me nervous. I'm growing catnip for them amongst my other regular herbs so, maybe they will just leave this one alone.
A moat, hmm, now that's an idea :) Now if only I had a castle, but I'm digressing lol.
Anyways today is day two, and she (thinking positively here) is in full sunlight and nice and warm, so we'll see as each day progresses.
Kitties love weed. We used to have to whip Mary Jane's ass for eating plants. Now she's a good girl and gets all the trim leaves she can eat for not touching the live plants :D
LOL, wow that is so hilarious. I wish I had a cat like that.Quote:

Anathema, what happens to the cats if they eat the leaves?
Do I wanna know?
I used to give my dogs the stalks.. 20-50 stalks at a time.. They'd chew on them all day... a serious mess indeed...
:)
my cat would eat the bagged/dried/cured stuff. never gave any ill affects, other than a seriously pissed off human-me.
You never heard of catnip.Quote:

lol my cat used to attack my plants, i think she was jealous, because they were allowed in my room n she wasnt, but then i started giving her all the leaves that fall off, and when i harvest she just grabs a few fan leaves in her mouth, runs to the end of the garden in the shade, and eats them in peace lol i'd rather she didnt just 'snatch' the leaves, as i give them to her anyway, but she still does, she wont snatch it from the plant anymore, she knows its bad. I think it helps their digestion, whatever it does, its good otherwise they wouldnt eat it, they can smell whats in food, and decide whether or not they need it.
My mouse loves fan leaves ALOT first time i harvested, i gave it one, and when i came back it was all gone and the mouse was rushing around buzzin like a bee lol so i gave it loads one time, and it ran about for like five minutes and went to sleep... ...its been asleep eversince... :)

 lol
Ok guys i'm stepping in and getting serious here. I've worked in animal medicine for a long LONG time and I'm telling you that animals (yes that includes cats) CAN die from THC toxicity. Too much THC cause bradycardia (low heart rate)that can actually get too slow to sustain life. We usually treat with a drug that increases heart rate so eating mj is not something you guys should be alllowing. How much is too much? That would depend on how much actual THC they are eating---and they shouldn't be eating ANY!
Soapbox over.
Peace to all who reside here...
ps--sorry to take over thread....congrats on your seed guy.....Quote:

How about posting a photo of your new munchkin?
The next step is to learn how to grow it my friend. Remember water only after the top two inchs of soil have dried, don't water every day, think: does it rain every day? and don't feed it nutes until it is 3 or 4 weeks old, keep it under 18 light, 6 hours dark plants need sleep too. Get a nice big pot too transplant into and pray its a girl or this was all a waste of time, sorry but thats how it goes, among all things good there are assetes.Quote:
