a nice glass pipe??

hey people..i just started smoking a couple of months ago...iv always rolled mine up but when my cousin came down to my house for a few days we smoked out of his bowl...the feeling for me was much better...i got high quicker and it was great...we were smoking non stop...iv been looking for a nice bowl and im excited about getting one...he got his from bigmikesglasspipes.com....i want to get one...which would look the best after being smoked out of?? Would my green fall through the hole if I get a larger size pipe?? Would a one hitter be better?? Any input is awesome....thanks guys...:stoned:

I prefer getting mine from local headshops, usually cheaper and you get to hold it. Like picking out a baby. I never use screens in my bowls because my weed is usually quite sticky, and plugs the hole up quite nicely. Try to get one that changes color the more you use it- really awesome stuff.

well i went to the head shop in the next town over and the smallest bowls they had were 29 dollars...and they were little pipes too...i didnt want to spend that much on a small bowl...the lady wouldnt bargain with me either...i think im gonna get one from that site but I just wanted it to look nice once being smoked out of and most of you people seem like experts at smoking =)

id just rather get the pipe from the website and save some money so i can get a good ammount of smoke to pack in that bad boy =)..which of the pipes do you guys think would look cool if smoked out of?? There are many different options when it comes to choosing a pipe that you might want to look into before buying. For example, bubblers are pipes but have a small reservoir that you put water into, and the smoke is filtered through it to remove tar and give a cooler hit. You should take a look at http://www.everyonedoesit.com/ and see if theres anything there that interests you.

I checked out the site you mentioned and it looks like they have some nice little pipes... you just might want to look around a little more to get a better idea of what's out there. :thumbsup:

Thanks alot...Yea i've heard of alot of people using bubblers but i didnt know they filtered the tar and what not...thats cool since i dont smoke cigarettes or anything...i might look into getting one after getting me a nice small pipe...thanks alot for your information :D

Some studies have shown that water actually filters out more THC than tars.

The only way THC can be filtered out in water is by being attached to the tars, since it isn't water-soluble.

Due to stems/seeds/leaves having a higher tar content than buds do, it's possible that the studies that have shown that water filters out more THC than tars is because those were used instead/in combination with the buds. This is only a guess, but if that's true then smoking cannabis correctly (buds only) would most likely prove the opposite, and is probably the reason why water pipes are shown to be effective. Regardless, I get fucking blazed off of bongs... much moreso than pipes, meaning I will continue using water filtration as much as possible.

i get mine from local headshops, i just get someone 18 or older to buy it for me.

i never use screens with bowls, just break up some stems and put them at the bottom

glass pipes are the way to go...I live in Pittsburgh and can't/couldn't find any here but I've gotten 2 in the Bahamas and 3 in Puerto Rico, so I haven't really ever bought them in the US.

I bought mine from a headshop, guy didnt card me. Don't think he cared.

I will concede that bigmikesglasspipes.com has some cheap pipes, but you must know that you always get what you pay for. I got my first glass piece in Galveston for $40 you could drop that out of a moving car and it would not break. I would be smoking out of it right now if my roommate had not stolen it.

go to a headshop, you can see the pipe before you buy it, look for one that's thick glass (it's really paid off for me) and has a phat design that will rule you supreme amungst your stoner bu.ddies. good luck on the find

i smoke bubblers pretty regularly (the ones in my avatar), and they do get better high / weed smoked than a pipe. but don't understimate the power of a j. with a joint you don't lose any THC gettin stuck to the side of the piece, which i think could be why the test showed that water filters out thc. I have read that study over a couple times. Never understimate a joint. most of the THC gets into your lungs, because all that gets stuck on something on the way to your mouth (like on other weed, or the sides of the paper) gets burnt up eventually. why do you thing the roach is so potent?

Why do i need one?

The problem with bongs is that they are too big and fragile to transport, or take to a session. Also, it is hell trying to get a bong bowl to last through an even medium sized circle. To a lot of my friends, a session means packing a few pipe bowls. but honestly, fuck pipes! those feel like shit on your throat. It is only an extra 20-30 dollars from a decent pipe to a good bubbler. they smoke great as a session piece or a personal piece, plus everyone will be thankful somebody has a good piece. so next time somebody asks, what are we smokin out of? Justins pipe again? you can whip out a badass piece and get everyone higher

So which one to get?

don't get a shitty bubbler. trust me, you will know if it's quality or not. if you can look through the carb and look at the bowl. Do you like the shape of the pinch after the bowl? Does the downstem reach all the way to the bottom of the water chamber? (a good thing, it should just be slightly away from the bottom, not close enough to impede the flow of smoke). Suck a few practice hits through it, it should rip pretty good, but that's up to you. make sure you spend a decent ammount of money on it, otherwise you're better off just saving your money. I bought a 40$ dollar bubbler, my first piece, because it was the cheapest bubbler at the place. IT SUCKED!! may as well have been a pipe. Next piece i spent 70$ on a bubbler and got that sherlock. it hits great, and gets me ripped. Next i spent 160$ on that double bubbler, and it gets me way more stoned then the average bong. plus it's portable, although i try to keep it at my house when possible.

yea...i just did turn 18 when i started smoking so buying them from a shop isnt a problem but the price is where i live...the smallest pipes were 29.95...it looks like the exact stuff from the site but smaller...a decent sized 4 to 5 inch pipe was like 59 dollars. thats crazy...i wanted to start out with something smaller and cheaper since my money is kinda low and then get a crazy nice piece later one....thanks guys...

I ordered the pipe from bigmikesglasspipes.com....I have to admit you guys were making me kind of worried about who I purchase from but after seeing my cousins pipe I knew i was going to get one from mikes..for 15 dollars and free shipping im really happy...the glass is thick and the color is great...i just have smoked out of it and it hits really good too :stoned: ....i def. recommend bigmikesglasspipes :thumbsup: ....i'll be buying another very soon :D Here are some pictures of the pipe that I took earlier today :)
