Free eggs and saved someones life today!

I went over the the shops today to buy some eggs so I could make pancakes for the missus and I. I stood waiting to cross the road with an elderly lady and what looked like her two grandchildren, one of around seven and other around four. All of a sudden, while the lady was sparking up a fag the youngest of the two darts out into the road, infront of an oncoming car. Instinctively I grabbed him by his hood, nearly choking the poor fella, and managed to get him out of the way just in time. Bless the lil chap, crying in mid air with me holding him by his hood until the car passed. When I put him down he was crying and screaming 'That man hurt me!' The lady was like 'Shut up' and clipped him round the ears saying i'd just saved his life and to thank the man.
The lady was so thankful and tried to convince me I was her guardian angel,lol! She hugged n kissed me and then asked where I was off to. I told her I was on my way to buy some eggs and she offered to pay for them for me. Ofcourse I declined the offer, being the gentleman that I am. But she wouldn't take no for an answer! Should've told her I was buying a bottle of brandy to!
It just made me think how careful and on the ball you've gotta be when you have kids around, you cant take your eyes of them for two seconds, especially to spark up a ciggy!:( In my opinion they shouldve have been on the other side of her(so if a car does hit them, she would take full impact, (commen sense really) and she should've been holding their hands. I did make a point of saying ot be more careful infuture, but she was so shook I didnt wanna go OD on her. Anywho just thought I'd share with you guys n girls!

Hey man, I remember stopping the bleeding in the Woolworths store when the manager ripped his wrist open and severed an artery. I pinched the artery shut with my roach clip and wrapped his wrist with a bandana and they were blown away by my ingenuity.

well done buddy, that musta been gr8 for you, I mean, free eggs, bargain! lol i watched this kid waitin for the traffic lights the other day n it was takin ages, then just as he went to walk over the road a van came past and clipped him, he looked okay, just a bit shook up, makes you think though, how dangerous a car can be.... spider, thats a good story too, you must be a hero too, - maybe all stoners are secretly super heroes... other than me, I just watch it all happen and make no attempt to help mwahahaha - maybe im a super villain....

Lol LIP, maybe just maybe the skies will open and rain upon me! And nochowder does karma still work if you expect something back? I didn't and wouldn't do something like that to gain something back. I'd do it for anyone, because that's just me. To be honest I didn't even think about doing, I just went into focus mode and did what I could.

So true, and they were the best pancakes ever! Not one pancake stuck to the pan and the rest of the eggs look almost heavenly. Might go and make an egg sanwich right now!:D

thank you, i never knew how small of a world this was, my grandma was saying that some one saved my brothers life today, and for that, i thank you alot...

its pretty cool how a simple deed like that will probably give you a free ticket to heaven

Maybe we are.:o When I was a teenager I saved a lady on the tennis courts.
I did the heimlich on this guy, he was pretty big and I had to actually get up on the table and kinda jump on him. It was weird.
I've always helped people when I can and people help me out when I need it. It works out pretty well.
