I'm especially interested in the Nevada legalization initiative, as it could be like Amsterdam in the US, and a lot cheaper to go there, even for a lot of Europeans given the exchange rate. But I'm also quite interested in how they will grow their weed, it seems like it'll potentially be superior to Amsterdam weed as it'll be totally legal to grow by the authorized people, and they have all that sunshine in Nevada. Not too much water, but they can just use some recycled water if needed from casinos. I'm definitely planning in taking a trip to Las Vegas if the initiative passes, and I'd like to not only visit the weed shops, but see their grow operations, although I wonder if they'll have a lot of security to keep people out. Or maybe they'll be hiring people to help grow.

I hope the initiative wins, just to grab some headlines, ... but don't hold your breath, if you think it will change much ... I'm just hopeful, if ALL the states would lighten up, changes may occur ... sorry if I dampen spirits, but I've been involved in this 'legalize MJ' movement for 40 years, and I'm pretty unimpressed ... (I hope I'm wrong again) ... :smokin:

I wouldn't say it'll be totally legal. By city or state law, sure. But that won't stop the feds from cracking down on people and throwing them in federal prison. That is going to be a problem until cannabis is moved down on the list of illegal drugs to Schedule 3 or something (currently it's right up there with heroin and crack and stuff, which is insanely stupid), or just removed entirely, but that will - literally - take an act of Congress.

Although Nevada is the one state that already goes against many Federal laws. And it won't be hippies growing, it'll be mobsters.

sorry, that is incorrect ... Nevada does not 'go against' federal laws ... the Fed has no restrictions on either gambling or prostitution (I assume that is what you meant) ... those are prohibited by State laws ... any state can allow casinos or whorehouses, if they want to ... :smokin:

Well then I'll just stop trying to see any logic in the Federal government :stoned:

When all the big drug companys & lobyest get out of are law making will we have a change. They do know how much good mj can do for so many disease and ailments it would cut into there profits. They are the ones who block any legatizetion and hopes of poeple that need this wonderful plant. If something is good for you it's going to cost you alot.Look at weight watchers and the likes.
They say the children will be useing it and go on to harder drugs. That did not stop them from getting alcohol and prescription drugs and guns.Last year the drug conpamys profit 2.3 BILLON dollars. They make 11 drugs that will give a man a hard on but will not research any thing that has to do with MJ.It just might cure alot of disease and aliment and they will lose alot of money if it's legalize. Sorry about the rant but it pisses me off.
That's my two cents

I totally agree, MJ could substitute for many over the counter and prescription medications and alcohol, and the beauty is that anybody can grow it for free. It's all about big company money and profits, and nothing about people's God given rights.

absolutely right about that: "follow the money" ... I wrote my Congressman (Wally Herger R-CA), about medical MJ, got a two-page letter back from him ... pretty much, just two pages of telling me to buy 'Marinol', the $600/month THC pill ... seems that millionaire fatcat just doesn't comprehend there are people that can't afford commercial medicines, or that he has no business telling us what we can grow on our own personal property ... my next letter to him, will be to ask how much campaign contributions he receives from drug companies ...

Yep most politicians are such hoes to the corporations. And there will never be a a real synthetic cannabis substitute, as there's already sixty identified cannabinoids.

Well, actually, maybe not. I live 2 hours from vegas, maybe i'll just have to visit more often
