I dont agree at all. When I first stated smokin bout 13 year's ago it was so hard to deal with it I would get the laughing fits and alot of paranoia. Now I can get high and feel great with out the funny feelings as before. And if I want to get really stupid I just smoke another one. Just my two cents though

First few times I couldnt get high at all ever though the guy smoking me out had some real premo shit. It took me almost a week before I was able to get 'high'.
Now, after 6 months of smoking, my best moments are the ones after 'holidays' when my body gets use to not having it... Then when I hit that shit I get sooooo FUCKED up.
oh man, i smoked my friend up not too long ago...he had only really smoked weed once before (with me, lol). man was he a wreck. we went to get some chinese at lik 3 in the morning, he had soooooooo much trouble functioning. he couldnt get his thoughts straight, couldnt eat properly. very funny. the only time recently where ive been REALLY baked was i smoked 2 blunts (between a good number of people), then i smoked about 4 bowls between 3 people. it just takes so much more now to get me like thatQuote:

Yeah, gettin' high is nothin' like it used to be. I think partly cause we are used to how it feels. I guarantee after a year then it would become the same. I know that I didn't smoke for 4 years, and the next time I did...crazy high, just like the times before. I wasn't expecting it and couldn't remember the feeling. I just remember I became more aware of my surroundings and kinda felt comfortable, we were in a chill place in the woods. So yeah, I'm pretty sure its cause the first couple times it was new. You didn't know what to expect and were still adjusting to the feeling. Sadly, I'm pretty sure the only way you could get those feelings again is to not smoke for AWHILE (month at the very very least, I'd say a year though and it would go back to the first few times) so that you aren't used to being high.
No, my first times were hell. Couldnt handle it :p. My best time was when I was really high and could handle it. The only thing I miss about now and then is that back then my body didnt hurt as much from too much smoking :p.
whenever i want to get close to those old feeling of trippin and what not i just try to hold out not smoking for a week or so... its not the same but it is pretty close...

As for the topic, I have to disagree. It's true that we do build a tolerance, but I've never found smoking bud less enjoyable..in fact, every time is a new experience for me. Just take a 2-week break or so from smoking, and when you come back, your first hit will feel like your VERY first hit. :)
It's called a tolerance break. Take a month or two off and then try lighting up. I'm sure you'll have a different perspective of never being able to return to your first high again.:p :pQuote:

No one said "weed gives me psychadelic/hallucenagenic experiences that are identical to LSD, mushies, PCP". All people were saying is that they "tripped". They have a different definition of the word (and as valid of one) as you.
Sometimes I say that I'm trippin, because to me, it's just a bigger high that makes me much less aware of what's going on, seeing a few colours change, and my eyes can't stay focused, so it appears that everything is jumping back and forth. I'm not saying that it's an equivilent trip that I'd get off of other drugs, but I'm still tripping.

Words take on different meanings in different regions, and words can evolve due to slang. If I say something is cool, it doesn't necessarily mean that it was lacking heat temperature-wise. Here's the thing that'll blow your mind --- "Cool" only used to have one meaning, now it has more than one! OMG!
"Trip" at one point may have very well only been used to describe what can happen when taking psychadelics or hallucinagens, but it seems to me that quite a few people are using it simply to describe a strong (or insanely strong) high.
And if you want to mke your own language, go ahead, no one's stopping you from doing it, but no one will understand you, and most will probably think you're crazy.

I was talking to a guy 2 nights ago about this subject. He has done just about everything there is to do so I'm sure he knows what a 'trip' is. Anyhow, he told me once, after smoking a ungodly amount of bud, he went for a space trip on board the USS Enterprise.
My first thought was it was just a fucked up dream but he persisted it was a 'trip'.
I dunno. I think most people who use the word 'trip' in relation to using weed are just using its slang version VS its more 'accurate' drug definition. I mean, I think we can all agree that smoking bud is not is the same league as taking a hit of LSD. But who really cares? Just my two cents :twocents:
