Have a problem and if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I've been smoking non stop for bout 2 years now and i've always had problems with smoking out of water bongs. When I smoke out of one I get extremely sick. Practically losing my mind while throwing up and just having a terrible few hours.
Now I don't know why exactly it does this to me and nobody else so that's why I am asking.
Shit dude, that sucks. How many times has this happened?
what, do you choke too hard? sounds... weird. i only smoke through water, unless i'm out, i'll take a joint or two for emergencies.

Thats my story from the first time I smoked out of a water bong. Every other time i've smoked out of one I go through the same thing just lesser extent because I learned from it. Now I can't even touch a water bong. I'll refuse weed if my friends are smoking out of a water bong.
i decided to put tobacco through a water bong - i dint have any weed and i read about it so i thought id try it... i made the bong then smoked 3 fags worth through the bong i felt reli sick and light headed for the next 2 or 3 hours! not fuckin doin that again
sounds like some dirty stale water i smoke out my bong alot and have never gotten the slightest sick you need fresh water every time you use it( change daily) take smaller slower hits so your lungs arent busting out from too much smoke, i had a friend who thought he could clear a entire bowl 1 hit and he threw up in my driveway and almost passed out from all the excess smoke just take it easy and make sure water is clean
You might be swallowing smoke, quit taking such big hits.
Always use fresh water. And if you make the bong out of a pop bottle/whatever dont burn the plastic.
yeh fresh water makes a difference. its good i always have a new top up of water. yeah try and toke less especially out of a gravity bong, that is way too strong.
Try taking smaller hits instead of huge bong rips. Sounds like you could be swallowing some air and that can make one feel sick to the stomach. Exhale your lungs empty then take a light hit from the bong. Make sure your lungs are not filled with air when you take a hit.
Or, as someone said, maybe you're swallowing after you take a huge rip, either the smoke or again, air.
Use clean water everytime and change often.
Ya you don't always have to clear the bong on the first hit. Just take a decent hit and then put your hand over the mouthpeice and then exhale your hit and just inhale the weed in the bong and pull out the slider or unplug the carb.
i kinda know the feeling man, one of the first times ive smoked multiple bowls out of a gravity bong i swollowed a little smoke and ended up sitting on the couch, i can usually feel it coming because i just sit there and dont say anything, i got up and went to the bathroom and threw up, came out and sat for awhile went backa nd threw up again, it really sucked because i was so fuckin blazed i just wanted to chill. i know how you feel man it can really suck.
but lemme say this, dont give up man, you could make a bong yourself and test it out taking small rips by yourself so your not around people when it happens and maybe build up a tolerance to it. because to not smoke out of a bong or a gravity once in a while really sucks, they get you really high.
sounds like you're smoking too much or swallowing the smoke to me, take smaller and fewer hits... never heard of this problem before, i only ever hear of people getting exclusively sick from blunts or joints..... i just think you're over doing it, a bong is considerably more powerful then a blunt imo.

and make sure your friends are clearing all the smoke out when they rip it because if they leave smoke in there it becomes stale and not to pleasant
you can even try putting ice cubes in your bong it makes the smoke alot smoother
Is this happening with just one water bong or several different ones? It sounds kind of like an allergic reaction. A well used, but under-cleaned, vaporizer (the kind that fills the air with water vapor, not the toking kind!) can build up a nasty colony of bacteria and fungi. When this kind of vaporizer is used and it's dirty, it can cause allergic reactions. Just changing the water in a bong would not remove the the colonies- they stick to any surface and repopulate quickly. Some kinds of fungi can cause some pretty extreme reactions- ergot and 'shrooms are good examples. But all in all, you likely have the best idea- don't use water bongs. As for the other type of vaporizer- GET ONE! Your lungs will thank you. I have a little Vapor Brothers and it was worth every penny! I hardly ever smoke any more and the duff that's left over from vaping makes pretty good brownies!
