I was hoping for a few suggestions from people. Whenever I'm smoking up I get crazy paranoid! I'll think I hear my parents coming home even if they aren't due in for hours, or that I've suddenly lost my stash etc.
I'm sure other people out there get a bit paranoid so I was hoping for maybe a few helpfull hints to reduce the panic.

Yea for sure parents are a biggy for me to. But if I get paranoid and dont know what time, or not sure at all even if it could be for hours ill call up my dad to see what he is doin and shit. But do think of a good reason to call. I call to see if they fed/walked dog or cats. Or had a question about the laundry or to let him know I MIGHT go out later and to just let him know. Or possibly dinner options. Then when I know he aint gona be home for a while AND got a time-frame I relax alot.

oh and also, this might help: make sure everything is set up before you get stoned. right after you smoked, put away your stash, etc, before it kicks in hard. that way, you can have the peace of mind you didnt missplace/forget things.
You just need to be more professional man. For some reason I get the feeling that you're a sloppy smoker. Make sure everything is perfect before taking even 1 rip, I mean perfect. Set up your stuff, make sure all chores and things to do are out of the way before you start smoking, that way once your high, there's nothing to worry about!:thumbsup:Quote:

That works good cause honestly no way in hell is she gonna be home in 40min, she won't go there and come straight back. So seriously try that. I wear my stop watch even. I'm very precise. Just make sure you know times BEFORE your high, cause afterwards time loses meaning and you'll forget "its 30min? eh, she can't be home for another 10min, plus she'll be gone for like another 45min on top of that" and before I know it my parents are home after an hour and I'm no where near ready to face them high. I got it under control now though. Just gotta make sure you know what has to be done and when.

I dont get paranoid for no reason but what would usually be a "what if" turns into a "Oh shit" as in I actually think it's happening, like one time I smoked in the bathroom while taking a shower and no one was there. Then my dad came home and I was like "oh shit, fuck fuck he's gonna smell the smoke" and I was so fuckin paranoid, even when I got out of the shower I went straight to bed to avoid him lol! But, no one ever smelled it..
Yeah man...I can't tell ya' how many times I've wen't to bed cause I was paranoid when I saw the light in the hallway come on, or heard my dad walkin' around.
Especially when he has come in my room as late as 1am before to ask me a simple question, cause he knew I was awake so he didn't care.

It's harder for some folks than others. this usually occurs as you get older and carry on more resposibilities in your life. You start thinking about all that shit and when you get baked, it all tends to come to a head at times. Just chill!!
Thanks for all the advice! I'll really try and chill. Part of the problem is that since I moved into the basement at my parents house I've become more and more daring with my smoking. So when my Mom is one floor above and I'm high as shit, it is easy to freak out.

i saw them earlier this year, probably one of the best moments of my entire life...i recorded it on my mp3 player too so i get to reminisce whenever i want!
I saw them in June when they were testing out new material. That was the third time I've seen them but it was by far the most wicked show I've ever been to. I was also able to download the entire concert! I rock out non-stop.
I saw them in 96 here in the UK - great times.
Admittedly I was "Blazed Bon" as the French would (probably not) say ;)

I know what you mean dude. Sometimes at 10 am (when my dad left at 7 am for work) when I blaze I still get occasional ''omg are they home'' attacks. Just relax though.

lol i was working on the grow room and i had the door wide open didnt even think of the time...lights were on and everything i was like shit and i shut my door and told my step mom i was naked...she was just bringing me some popcorn....almost got caught....ALMOST!
i left my bong on my porch one time because i figured i was gonna go have another session, and i fuckin forgot till i left for school and i saw it...they went out another door so i was like HOLY SHIT that would have sucked!
Well usually when that happens to me I just smoke more because I find that it actually calms me down or have a few beers which always does the trick. But if that doesn't work for you, just make sure everything is put away and put in some visine and chew gum. After you do that, there is no way you will get caught unless you act extremely retarded in front of your parents.
