in my eye the best bank by far, has to be serious seeds, they only have five strains to offer, but man there all great! all cup winners, you cant go wrong with serious seeds in my opinion,100% germination everytime, quality.
however i have used and still do use other banks, although i only grow seed for mothers, there for avoid all feminised seeds, as i find they struggle and stress easy, and are harder to keep in grow for very long without them going hermie, iin my opinion feminised seeds should be used for guirilla grows, or I guess if ya have to grow from seed and dont want to end up with half a crop, serious seeds do not do a feminised seed,
also since the very well advertised and hyped arrival of the "lowrider" every other seed bank seems to have jumped on the comercial possibilities of autoflowering weed!again in my humble opinion the ruderallis would be better left in the hemp fields where it belongs, unless we all want to grow weed with a very low almost legal level of THC! serious seeds dont do a ruderalis cross, I have also tried some of green hse seeds, and although they come very well recomended, on the few strains of theres i have grown, i wassnt impressed, this bank seems to retain its fame for its haze, a very popular strain in the USA iI understand and elsewhere, the sativa dominant strains they offer are not to my taste, and el nino is to say the least is disapointing!again with alot of varieation between seeds, and a substantial amount of lower limb hermaphrodites, the other seed bank i prefer would be sensi seeds, they have a much wider range to choose from and some classics too. there super skunk and skunk and excelent, although as like the chronic from serious seeds they do show two distinct phenotypes, paradise seeds is another good reliably consistant bank, again germination rates are very good, and has some suprising strains, durga mata is a cheap seed but has good yield and taste, grows easy and finishes quick.
there are some banks out there i wont deal with any more, nirvana, KCBrains,
in particular, reasons being, very low germination on KCBrains seeds and unstable genetics, there are more varieties of phenotypes than exist in KCBrains seeds, they also produced alot of hermies in several of there strains, south californian special for one! leda for another. nirvanna seem to have gone down hill too over the years, maybe its all the strains they have, they arent getting them out fresh no more, or maybe its just bad managment, but nirvanna seem to be going the same way, hard to hold some of them in grow for mothers without diverse affects, seed quality just isnt what it used to be! after all nirvanna has got some pretty good strains, or used to have. There is a seed company I'am keen to try out , Positronics, heard alot about them, and they are now in Spain,i believe they had to run from the feds in the USA and bought over some genetics with them, again a very limited supply only three strains available, maybe a xmas present for the grow room, lol,
i spose its only fare to comment on the supplier of the seeds, wether its a wholesale dealer or a grow shop. they buy in stock and sell it when they can, ya never now how long they have been stored before they get to the shop! or befoere the shop sells them to you, a retailer with all the best intentions in the world can store his seeds in a fridge at 7 degrees as recomended, but has no idea of the age of the seeds, when they where harvested! and i guess the seed company's and the retailers want it to stay that way, dont want paranoid customers not buying a pack of seeds cos its 6 mths or a year old! so i guess we never will get harvest dates on the seed packets.
i guess in brief. if a seed company is in buisness, they in buisness for one reason, to make money, and like all buisnesses ya got to make or go under, i put my faith in a company that has faith in its products, doesnt necesarily follow trends in market sales, and has a small well maintained variety of seeds it can run its buisness on, sucsessfully, due to there quality, there is but one serious seeds,
no guru but opinionated.
