Today I was persecuted and discriminated against.

:mad: AS a member of the Cannabis people.... I was persecuted today.... Just as so many other cannabis people are.... Our people are suffering daily and most of us stand on the side lines in a state of cowardice, fearful of the machine.

Fired for smoking cannabis after the store closed so i went out back and packed my one hitter... and lit up.
This was a week ago.
Today i come into work and he wants to talk to me.
And he said "So ------ says you were smoking marihuana behind the store"
so im like
"Yes thats correct and its called cannabis you have to be politically correct."
and then hes like
"Your fired":mad: :mad:
and i dint say anything
because in my head i was thinking he is lower then the dirt under my feet.

A cannabis user is arrested every fucking 45 fucking seconds and you wonder why were paranoid?:mad: :mad:
but yeah w/e i broke one of the cannabis pirate rules...

accept i was still persecuted against, i lost my job and thats bullshit.
No body life, not mine, his, or even your life will ever be more important then cannabis.

WHat a moron!!! First, whether you like it or not you broke the law. Second, you admit it to your boss like an idiot. Finally, you haven't recognized that you might have a problem (lost multiple jobs, kicked out of school...etc.) Until laws change and finally allow us to enjoy cannabis legally, you might want to be more careful about when and where you partake. Cannabis should be ours to enjoy, but as with any controlled substance we need to maintain control of our habits/hobbies. It sounds like you might not have control of yours. Wneed to be willing to face the consequences that have been decided upon by our government (whether we agree with them or not.) So, back to my original point. It's been said, but you were not persecuted for your actions, or, a wrongful firing. You were on company land still. Their land, their rules. Companies frown upon any substance abuse from their employees. You can do it in your own home, but right outside of your place of employment where your boss is trying to keep things running in a professional manner, come on, you have to be smarter than that.

Not everyone has the same viewpoint on cannabis. Some people it is a deadly sin, but to some others, it's no big deal, and just because you find it no big deal, doesn't mean the people around you accept it.

Next time, do it far far away from your job, like at home, or on your walk home.

So I have two opinions on this one:

1. If you are determined to practice civil disobedience to this law, then you may do it openly and without regret. That may end up being to your detriment, in the short term, but if people give you a hard time for it, remember that they are giving you a hard time for doing something noble and respectable: standing up for what you believe to be the truth during a time of persecution.

2. You also have the right to simply keep your head down, not get caught, and not voice your opinion about cannabis. This is also a valid choice.

3. You do NOT have the right to criticize the other viewpoint for their approach to this troublesome and unjust law.

So let's not lambaste each other for smoking in public -- it's the same as smoking a cigarette or drinking a beer, and many of us would agree that those things are socially acceptable things to be doing in public after work -- the only difference is that there is an arbitrary and capricious law prohibiting it.

Exercise your rights if you feel strongly about having them.

I think it is bullshit. I think your more darring than you are dumb for doing that, very nobel of you to be honest about whats right. What all you guys are saying is basicly what black people did for a long ass time and shit didnt get better for them. Your kinda like a Rosa Parks the way I see it... However there is somthing to be said for common sense, you just have to find the perfect blend of diplomacy and boldness to be a true revolutionary. And I think the word 'Ninja' is perfect. The art of Ninjitsu is to not be seen, and when smoking cannabis, you are performing ninjitsu (or not performing it, but thats your fualt) hence making you a Ninja. So the way I see it, us pot smokers are Ninjas, and I think the title is bad ass!

What wouid happen if every single cannabis user in the entire country went to the steps of their state capitol and lit up on 4/20/07? That is a huge number of people. And probably a lot of successful people who command respect from others. Do you think something would happen then? Besides for the cops with riot gear part, I mean.

Back in 1988 I went to The Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Fest. It was held in the park across from the state capitol building in Madison Wisconsin. Had to have been at least 5,000 people there, all toking up. The police didn't do a thing, just let everyone be. The only bust I saw was of a guy who thought he could do bong hits in the McD's accross the street. Just too many people for the local police to deal withso they just said "fuck it" Don't know if they'd have the same attitude in DC though.

they killed him, he had 11 broken ribs and a punctured lung. instead of getting him in an ambulance they throw him in the back of a squad car and try taking him to jail, he died on the way there
