Hey guys,
I'm new here and gonna try out Salvia for the very first time with a friend. Ive read quite a bit on it and can't wait! I ordered 3 ounces of 10x. What do I need to smoke it? I've never use a pipe before so if anyone could walk me through how to smoke it, I'd appreciate it.

first things first, throw that shit out, i've never done it but I heard it really fucks with you, and if you do, make sure you have a sitter around as most people say, but yea you would use a pipe just stuff it in the bowl and use a torch lighter cuz it only burns at higher heats, the taste is shitty so get ready to drink something after, just realize that the shit only lasts a few minutes and you'll be back to tell us about your (hopefully non-existant) experience. also, doesnt matter what kind of pipe/bong you use, glass would be best, followed by wood. NEVER METAL!!! just put the salvia in the bowl, light and toke, then hold it in for a while, then you trip :thumbsup:

hold up, don't listen to any of these kids, smoke the salvia. I smoked it once and it was the shit. i smoked 40x and trust me its like your on shrooms for a minute. only bad thing was i was sweating so bad afterwards, just have a wet towel or something incase you get overheated. It'll only last a minute or two and for about 5 minutes you'll be kinda out of it. after that its like you never did it.
oh and how to smoke it just take it out of the bag, put it in the bowl part and lightly pack it down, but not to hard. if you got a clear hole ( hole on the left or right side next to the bowl part) cover it with your thumb. put the light to the bowl, light the salvia and inhale. hold the flame over it for a couple of seconds until it is roasting. take a good size hit and release your thumb, hold your shit in as long as you can( when smokin salvia) then you'll be good.
lol, salvia is great once you get the handle of the drug..
your first couple times will feel like your slapping your chest; the "i = retarded" trips.
but after a few times (doesnt have to be the same day, some ppl can take many grams over weeks/month) you'll catch rise to it and finally get the 'feel'

Lol, I never said not to smoke it. The shit is crazy, and you should definitely try it, but its not the same thing as weed, its not something you do and then go do stuff on. When you smoke salvia you smoke salvia and thats about it. Its more of a thing in and of itself than something that enhances other stuff. Smoke it in a room that is un-evenly lit with lots of shadows, that always seems to fuck with my vision the most on salvia. Or smoke it outside on a really clear night and lay back and look at the stars. But good luck even remembering why you're outside once you hit the pipe :DQuote:

Ive never tried it, but is it possible to mix with some tree in a bong or should you just go all out Salvia. And I dont know if this violates the rules on the forumns but where can you get it?

Sweeeeet. Yea I've smokeed weed out of a pipe and joints but not water pipe. I thought you're supposed to use a water pipe for salvia. If so, how do you use a water pipe?
One last thing. Might be a stupid question, but is there an exipration date for this? I'm sure I'll have a lot left over so can I store this for months and months?

I see that the leaves are pretty cheap, does it differ much from smoking the extract?

The first time i smoked savlia I bought some down in Austin while I was going to the Flamingo Cantina for live reggae night. I had heard you trip fuckin nuts so I didn't want to freak out in a club around a lot of ppl I didn't know, so we mixed it about half and half with some decent nugs we had and smoked it. So last weekend I tripped VERY hard on shrooms.....was watching Next Friday, and lets just say it felt like I was in the friggin movie. I'm not a big psychadelic fan due to the ego-loss and the "Oh my god" aspect of it. So I probably wouldn't like Salvia huh? I like to try anything once....but I doubt its more intense than 3.5 grams of strong shrooms where I was so gone the thought that I was on shrooms totally vanished and time started to go backwards lol. (say Im wrong if I am).
In some aspects, salvia is just teasing you. It gives you a small little sample of what LSD is like, lasting only a few minutes.
It's better to use a water pipe when you smoke it because it's so harsh, but go ahead and smoke from a pipe if your lungs can handle it. It's kind of gross either way though.
Salvia is alright if there's no weed around I guess, but it's just too short to be enlightening or fun. Gimme my LSD any day. ~
Whats the difference between a hallucigen (weed) and altered experiences/dream/fantasy (lsd/salvia).
the difference is that weed isnt a hallucinegin and lsd is and so too is salvia.
SHould I get a little buzzed bforehand? Not drunk but buzzed and relaxed? Will the effect be better?
Just smoke it and find out for yourself. ;) You will see the before effects of any of stimulant will become obsolete once you smoke salvia.
Use a bong, get a screen for the bowl....get a torch lighter...and smoke it.
Also yeah it is a good idea to have others around..that aren't fucked up anymore from it or didn't smoke it at all.
..and don't try to stand up, definitly do it sitting down...and stay there..
DO NOT smoke pot before you try salvia, it will make salvia's effects more intense and longer lasting, and if this is your first time trying salvia, you want the effects to be short.Quote:

Edit: I have been smoking buda for like 4 years (sporadically is a good word for my usage pattern), and have experienced "white powder stimulants", "mushrooms with magic powers" (a few times), "pills with logos on them", and alcohol. I want to try this, but I dont want to fuck with my brain. I'm guessing the experiences are strong enough to have to thinking about them for hours/days after. I dunno...still debating. Like i said before, I dont see how something could fuck with you more than the mushrooms with the powers. lol.....help me decide...i know i should decide for myself but i cant lol.

According to research on salvia, they dont even know what part of the brain it affects. Whereas most hallucinogens affect a specific part of your brain.
Salvia is still legal mostly due to the fact that you can't do anything while you're on it besides freak out. Maybe if some fucktard smoked a bowl of 40X while on a rooftop and ended up killing themself then they would make it illegal, so be safe when you try it, it IS a drug and the MOST POWERFUL DRUG KNOW TO MAN, no im not kidding, salvinorin-a is more psychoactive per microgram than LSD, and any other known chemical besides the ones already present in your brain naturally.
Have a clear head and dont have a purpose in mind when you do salvia, because it will throw you off in a random direction and so it's pointless to try and set parameters or control your trip. Just remain calm and if you get scared just realize that no matter how long it seems like you are tripping, you will come down in about 15 min TOPS.
It may seem like a few million years but thats all part of the trip, it sends your concious mind to a place where time and even space are non existant. I saw the birth and death of the universe and the meaning of reality (not what you think it is at all) and the very core of ..... all i can call it is "this" and it was all before my very eyes (not that i saw it but i understood it) while i sat on my living room sofa unable to move for less than 10 min.

Why trip for 3-4 minutes when you can trip for 6-7 hours?
Personally, I find the trip itself FAR too short to experience anything worth taking out of it. It's fun, yes, but to think you actually come out of it enlightened is something I have yet to experience, and don't think I ever will. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing to smoke it and then 20 seconds later be in another dimension, but before my mind can adjust to it and start exploring, the trip's over. Salvia is similar to magic mushrooms in the way they change your psychology and can make you VERY introspective (this is why it isn't a party drug) but the hallucinations aren't the same at all, salvia throws you out into the viod of space and reveals things that were never there and have never been seen or experienced by normal people, it can help you understand your own mind, and how the mind works and how delicate everyone's perception of reality is.Quote:

Any questions on salvia? Id be happy to try and answer them, I've done everything up to 45X because after that it gets really expensive. So i have a ton of experiences on salvia so dont hesitate to ask anything. You should feel as comfortable as possible before you try it and it will be much better for you.
So is the experience based on the strength of the Salvia you get. Like, is it different with different strengths or does it just vary in intensity. What would you suggest for a first timer.....just go for the strongest and take smaller hits? What do you think?
Every time I've done salvia i've ripped it out of a huge bong when i'm alright high as shit and let me just say it fucks your world up... every time i've done it i've thought i was being sucked into or toward something... first time i thought i was being sucked into a bed and couldn't pull myself away from it no matter how hard i tried.. another time as soon as i took my hit my friend who was already tripping after his hit was like why'd you guys let him do it at the same time as me?! (he was hinting at the fact that it's harder to control two people tripping nuts than it is one.) but as soon as he said that my hit kicked in and i thought that the reason he said it was because if you smoke salvia at the same time as someone else your souls get sucked together and you form a new being and so i felt myself being pulled towards him but since i was laying down i just layed there... it sounds pretty bad but at the time that all this is going on you're just sitting there laughing uncontrollably and have no clue what the hell is going on.. i didn't pay any attention to the other people in the room.. and as Its a Plant said... Give me LSD any day.. Took 2 hits one time and it was the best 10 hours of my life

You'll reach the peak within 5 minutes or less. From then on out, it's intensity significantly decreases, and you sorta 'come down' for like 20 minutes or so.
So really that site's kind of misleading, because it lasts all of 4-5 minutes, but *technically* you can still feel a slight buzz afterwords.
