i know we have prolly had this type of thread before, but since we have so many new people i thought i'd start a new one.


What is everyones favorite types of movies? Ive seen just about everything there is out there im gettin bored with them now i need new stuff. Anyone got an old favorite?


I love the movie "shawshank redemption" if u havent seen it u need to.
also another good one but didnt get to much publicity was "life as a house "omfg great watch it, but im tellin ya get a box if tissues :D


But i must say my favorite type of movies would have to be a good suspense. The kind that keep u on the edge of ur seat the hole time and u can get up even if u want to for fear of missing sumthing good. Anyone ever see "The life of David Gale" w0w that was great ;)

My favorite movie is Killing Zoe but my favorite romantic girly movie is most definitely Bridges of Madison County. I cry through the whole last half hour. When Meryl Streep is in the truck with her husband and Clint Eastwood is standing in the rain staring at her, I completely lose it and the tears start flowing! I will watch ANY movie with Clint, he is wonderful.

I guess my taste would fall into action/suspense.

I like Tony Scott and Jerry Bruckheimer-type movies.

Eg. Crimson Tide, The Rock, Man on Fire, Enemy of the State, The Rundown, etc.

those are all good too. I guess I dont have a favorite I love them all. Cept i really dont get into chick flicks. I like under the tuscan sun but thats about it for chick flicks!

American Pie (only coz of the blonde girl thats in it)

I like all kinds of movies but my favourites are action movies (mainly the hong kong ones), zombie movies, philosophical movies and animations :D .

You won't be disappointed, if you've never heard of it, I'm not surprised. Check your local record store, if they don't suck that is. It's a dvd/cd, one side is the movie, and the other is the soundtrack, brilliant packaging, and a great movie to boot.

Black screens, I guess, are really dark.

Pot-holing videos, for instance - or, night fishing documentaries.

I love all most all types of movie, but not much for really dumbed down action (with the exception of Con Air, got to love Steve Buschemi) and loved the Usual Suspects. Though I can't bring myself to watch crap yourself horror even though I like it, cos having a little spud is enough stress for me. Love really weird Chinese and Japanese Martial Arts movies that have ghosts and stuff like that.

There is this English movie out here at the moment called Sean of the dead. It's meant to be a Zom Rom Com and really funny and gory at the same time. I'm going to watch it 2moro.

Butterfly effect got caned by the critics here, but it was a great movie and I even didn't mind Ashton Kucher thought he suited the role.

Oh yeah, I forgot stupid funny like Zoolander, love freakin Zoolander and the one Wilson brother is hot (Luke or Owen?) and cheesy horror flicks. Especially around this time of year, you can catch almost any crappy horror film on AMC any time of day.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of the best movies to watch stoned. It's also probably more history than most stoners learn in school! :p

For really funny movies you have to check out The Groove Tube or Kentucky Fried Movie. Those are great slap stick funny as hell movies from the 70's. I love the old 1950's movie Harvey. A few of my favorite action movies are Boonedock Saints and Red Dawn. Bong water was funny but the red head actress in the movie really really pissed me off but it has an awesome camio by Jack Black. These a great movie from the 60's called The Trip with Peter Fonda that makes me laugh my ass off. It's about a guy that takes LSD for the first time. One of the sense Peter Fonda walks into someones house whom he doesn't knwo and sits down to watch TV. A young girl comes down stairs and they watch TV for a while, while he trips. Those were the good old days when people had there doors unlocked and strangers on LSD can come in a raid their munchies. For a great LSD or Mushrooms movie I would say my favorite is What Dreams may Come. That has killer visuals, and I mean killer you will think your tripping with out even trippen.
