Seriously i feel that everyone has atleast slight depression. If your feeling down and its bothering you. I would call a counciler and just talk with them. Let them know how you are feeling and whats goin on. They are the best ones to help you out with it, but you have to listen to what they tell u. I was just goin thru secer depression i got the help i needed even tho atm i thought i could handle things on my own i really couldnt. Im well now and so glad that i finally called and got it taken care of. I didnt think that i was as bad as i was, but they helped me see that i had sum deep rooted issues. good luck hun hope all works out.
I was fine but it has just progressively worsened until I looked it up.

Depression is a disorder that effect's million's of people..I for one was in a deep depression for over a year after watching my best freind get killed..I found the best way to avoid these feeling's is to be around family and loved one's..And #1 talk about it with people you trust..Depression is a state of mind but can lead to a number of phyisical disorders..I thank my theripist for getting me through the darkest part's of it..
The best way to defeat depression is to find the root of the problem and tackle it head on..In my case it was me not being able to stop my freind from being killed and thinking his death was my fault.. I realize now that I could'nt have done anything to prevent it...[J.H.W..1974-1999..RIP]
I agree that everyone is a little depressed like Ammie said. Some years ago I was diagnosed with bi polar disorder and spent more than 2 years talking to counselors, psyciatrists, I was on all sorts of meds, and even did my stint in the crack pot ward of the hospital. I don't take the meds or talk to ppl that accept medical insurance anymore, and after some time in the mental ward I realize there is absolutely nothing wrong with me...I was just a normal person going through a bad time. It was a mixture of a bad break up (thanks, Nick, you motherfucker!), and other person problems that accumulated into me constantly crying and not being able to move off the couch.
Go and talk to someone and get yourself sorted out but don't let them convince you that you have a life long mental illness that you'll never get rid of and always need meds for. Because unless you absolutely cannot live without counselors and meds, you will feel better at some point, I promise. :) You need to realize that sometimes life can be hard and you may feel shitty sometimes but then there are great days, too...and everybody feels bad at some time. Its just that nothing to serious has ahppened anytime recently. It just happened, slowly but surely. And my sister had or has it so it could be possible

but seriously, millions and millions of ppl really do suffer from depression.
its aterrible thing, i went through it, got help, they put me on Prosac and it didnt help that much so they changed it to Lexapro, and OMG, it wiged me out, i tried commiting suicide, i was either crying or pissed off, all the fucking time, i mean it was so wierd, id be smiling one minute, and crying the next, i liked to broke my hand by punching a hole in the wall. needless to say, i got off that shit, everyones concern just made it worse, until one day i just woke up and took a looooong look in the mirror, it reall ymade me mad but i controlled myself and realized i had too much ahead of me to be doing this, so i got through it, now im on birthcontrol, they say that it was just a hormonal imbalance.
really sucked, but good luck man, i hope you will be ok, you can get through it, if i did, i know you will, i have faith!
just promise us that you wont do anything stuo=pid like i tried to do.

This is really strange hmmm i think im depressed u no, sometimes i get stupidly mad over nothing and end up hittin a wall then the next minute il be smilin i hate being like this, i thought it was skunk doin it to me i was thinkin of stoppin but then i cant stop :S jus a nasty cicle
im only 14 and have had my share in depression even tho im pretty young but the best information i can provide is just to call someone your close to or that you can trust and tell them your troubles, just hang in there we all have are problems sometimes :o good luck
hey.......i went through periods of depression for months at a time about a year after i graduated from highschool. i dont know what i was even really depressed about, some nights i would even cry before i went to sleep. I didnt see a therapist at all, but went to the doctor who later prescribed me some prozac. I took those for 3 days and my depression had gotten to the point where i would just lay around, teary eyed, feeling sorry for myself. I met up with a friend the third night i was taking prozac and we smoked although i knew i wasnt supposed to. My high was different feeling i think because of the prozac. A lot of things i saw totally different (kinda like on shroomz but not really). The most thing that stuck out though was the way i saw myself. When i thought about what was going on with me, it was so mind blowing because i knew that that wasnt me at all. Taking ssri's for depression. Who was that guy i was? I didnt recognize him at all. After that night, i never took another pill. Almost all my depression was gone about a week after that. I havent had a period of depression since. Hopefully i never do.
Depression is most common in the 17-23 (or somewhere around that) age range due to the fact that thats the most stressful period they go through or so my doctor was telling me. Everyone reacts differently to stress. A lot of people just get depressed cause of stress. The best way i found out to relieve depression, is get high or drunk with some good friends. You will have no bad feelings at all.

I disscussed with mi madre and have figure it out. It could be but it is at the point where I can make it go either way. So that problem is taken care of. Amazingly talking actually does help. Thats to all of you who assisted me though this relatively short time. Gonna Smoke Weed This Weekend!

i mean, there was a time when i was down alot, but like you did, Never, i just took a look at myself, put my life in perspective, and ive been happy ever since :D
im happy most of the time, and i try to make the best of bad situations
i mean, i still get down, upset, angry etc, but on the same scale as i used to.. now i just get high and sort the problem out :D

Yeah, Ive been forced to go to a pyschiatrist sinc i was 13 every othr week id go....Iv been on depression meds for a year and I used to be a cutter for like 1 1/2 years until one time i hit my artery and went to the ER and now i have a permanent scar right on my wrist...i dont do non of that freaky shit anymore, i just have break downs once in awhil and go punch the shit out of something...
