Amsterdam advice please.

Hi guy's and gal's as the thread title suggests I am going to Amsterdam for my birthday in dec. I was wondering what is the best weed or hash you have tried when u were over there, I will be trying as many as I can but want to know what the strongest is as i really want to get fucked up. the choice of stuff over here is woeful basically its soap most of the time though one of my contacts can get pollen sometimes and he grows his own weed. Thanks in advance.
P.S. cant wait till i get till Amsterdam, 1st time.

Dont drink and smoke over there man, it lethal. Trust me stick to the smoke its much more better for you. When ya get there just check the menu's take it all in bro. Its a ball.

yea, i definately wont be drinkin as well its a killer mix and i would say the dam bud will put me flat on my back, what would the most potent one to try, I will be like a child in a sweet shop lol.

i'm going to the dam tomorrow for a couple of nights, fantastic choice of dope in amsterdam.

last time i was out there, i tried the white widow 1st, it was a great one to start with, nice and buzzy uplift sorta wack..:smokin:

The choice is unreal man, really gets you.. I might be going over in November, depends on the Uk price for the judges pass at the cannabis cup event. cant seem to find any Uk outlets for passes though yet. :(

jack heurer is a great smoke, im hoping to sample as much as possible (again) but its difficult remembering all the types

edit: ps forgot to say, when in the coffeeshops be sure to ask the people working if you are unsure which to try, i found most places to be very friendly and helpful, gotta watch out for our fellow smokers :)

When I was there a year ago we had some purple bud (Purple haze?) that was beautiful and very stony... but not as green-tasting as the white widow which was equally stony and turned out to be my favorite.

I think the top-end cafe is the GreenHouse. Two there I believe. We went to the one on the outside of the center; very chill and incredible menu. Some people hate the Grasshopper and Bulldog (also multiple locations) but I had blasts at all of these spots.

Finally, my favorite spot in the whole city is the Hash Museam. They only sell seeds, but the place is seriously chill. Once you've scored I suggest you head over there to smoke over a cappucino and game of chess/checkers, etc.. Staff was super-cool and the patrons the same.

GL mate. I think you have motivated me to get back over there. Gonna check ticket prices now.. Have fun!

O, sorry, final tip; if you wander around red-light district in evenings (and you should!) be prepared for the most aggressive drug dealers you have ever seen. Just avoid eye contact and walk briskly; they'll find someone else to bother. Just something to be prepared for cause it can give you a shock and ruin your high if your'e not prepared your first night out.

I had an ex go over there, and he told me the same thing about the red light district...funny.

My birthday is in December too, but since next year is a big one for me (30) I will wait until then to go, and since my bday is the 30th of Dec, figger I'll do New Years too. It must be so much cheaper for you all to go there!! Maybe the next time my parents invite me to N Ireland to visit family, I will accept and hop on over to the Dam...lmao I just checked the flights the other day for the Cup and they were no less than $900 for return flights...then on top of that, would have to spend on a judges pass, accomodation and food...I am going to check the prices for all the other times of year...maybe they are cheaper when the Cup isn't going on...can you imagine the search I would have to undergo to get back into Canada! lmao

But ive never been during the Cup. The impression i was given by some locals is that they see it as a typical rip off of needie smoke tourists. Im not saying the Dutch dont like visitors but it just stinks a little too me and i love the place plus its easyer to find a place to say at other times off the year. All that judges pass crap just bugs me. I saw a bus one year taking Folks from one coffee shop to the next so they could get there pass's stamped by the coffee shop to say they visited,, lolol then they bale back onto the bus lol, no smoking just doing it for the name of doing the tour,, Cannabis Cup i think Not.,,,,
Amsterdam, is a nice expensive place to stay and if it wasnt for the weed their tourist numbers would die on their feet...

Sound better off, Im in Ireland we find the cheapest time is around jan too march Oct too December. In fact a mate from work told me last week that he got flights for 20 euro about twenty US dollars 25 - 30 Canadian For flights in Jan. Ryanair Dublin to Endhoven is sure ive spelt that roung ah well Point made

Ive just come back from my 1st trip to Amsterdam. Im not sure Im really qualified yet to say whats strong, but i can tell you some good tips, that will save you cash.

dont do a hotel, its a rip off, goto a hostel I went to Winstons in a street called Warmoestraat, near the main square. They got small 4 bed dorms (dearer) or 10+ dorms (much cheaper) for about £14 a night which includes brekkie (all you can munch) and free orange juice and coffee.:)

Your best bet for drinks ie if your walking about looking at the incredible sights mostly red in colour, then trot along to a supermarket called Albert heign or summit like that, its in Dam square. they do their own brand of red bull for about 30pence a can (I couldnt tell the diff in taste). they also do munchies like crisps and all sorts of food and its much better prices than the local mini shops that sell red bull at more than £2.50 a can (wot a rip off).

I ate where the locals did, cos its cheaper and they have fast turn around so no stale food, again chinese food id go for lucky golden in red light has 3 floors, very cheap less than £10 for a meal inc drink. or at the lower end of Warmoestraat another chinese fast food but basic seating, is on the bend at end of street.

If you goto the "red light bar" downstairs is called the "bass ment" coffee shop, say hi to Wouter for me please, he wont stitch you and will sort out decent bud for you from the menu. he will even roll for you cos hes a cool dude.

Beleive me m8 the Dam is right there, blows yer bloody mind, it can be full on!!!
What I have found, if your there for a bit then Haarlem is a great place to regroup the old brain cells, its a friendly place with excellent coffee shops generaly a bit less manic than the big A, the hotels are cheaper and its about 15 minutes on the trains which run 24/7.
or 40 minutes by bike.( with a fair wind and a following sea )

Have a good one and visit often

Quality - I stayed at the Winstan to. Top Hotel - real weird rooms. Highly recommended.

As for bud - Cristal & Super Pollen. Top quality all the way. You can get a pre-roll Cristal for a few euros just 5 mins off the train. You lucky SOB.

The Noon i would say have the best Blueberry weed in town, plus some killer hash :D remember to keep something sweet with you so you dont end up crashing and burning lol

If you want to know the weeds then try Mothers finest from barneys coffee shop or a bit of hindu kush, it all depends on what kind of high your after.You've definately got to visit Barneys. A the dude that says not to go to the cup is definately talking out of his arse, its the bench mark of amsterdams weed growing culture, it can't be that shit if Jack Herer goes himself (Every year) Its that good you are not even allowed tobacco on the premises, that will test any pothead! Smoking dope pure.Anywhere that offers free samples as you enter can't be bad.So come on guys why all the negative vibes about the DAM, sitting in a cafe smoking the best ganja in the world and home of the best growers and seed producers!!!!!!!!
