Well letâ??s just see how much jack can fuck with my head during this grow.
Since I have my 1st grow 4 weeks along into flowering I think itâ??s time to jump right into a grow that will test me & teach me a few things about growing..
From what Iâ??ve read looks like Iâ??m about to get my ass handed to me ;)


I will be growing in potting soil.
Perlite mixed 40/60 soil
Mylar
Using CFLâ??S again.

Veg:
1.) 125w 6500lmn
4.) 42w 6500lmn

Flowering:
1.) 125w 2700lmn
4.) 42w 2700lmn

Temps will be between 72 - 80

1.) Oscillating fan
1.) Space Heater

Nutes,

Foxfarm: Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom

Superthrive, Alaskan fish ferts, ph up, ph down, cloneX

Things to get: Something to tye that mother down since I hear that jack is into bondage:D A ph pen, I think Iâ??ll need to be a bit more accurate this time than checking with the strips..

I put the beans (3) into a paper towel, wetted it, & put it into a ziplock baggie but did not seal it (pic1)


I did NOT put it on top of the fridge just because too many eyes would either wonder what it was or I am sure somebody would toss it in the garbageâ?¦.

I put it on top of the cabinet in the laundry room as it does get warm in there from the dryer .. As for darkness itâ??s not dark, has daylight coming into room.

1 of them started to show tail after 24hrs, the other 2 took just about 48hrs..

As they shown tails (about an 1/8â?�) I put them into jiffy pots, in soil about
¼� - 3/8� deep, making sure to put tail down, covering them with soil and watered till a few drops came out the bottom of the jiffy pot�
Since watering took away some of the dirt covering them I put some dirt (not much ) on top (pic2).

Iâ??ll put 1) 25w cfl about 1 ½â?� above, watch temps & if needed will turn fan on to make sure temps donâ??t get too high, which I will more than likely have to do since they will be so closeâ?¦.

Not much happening, the 3rd one finally came up today..

Apparently I must've planted this one taproot up?
For the last 2 days sticking about an 1/8" thru the soil was the taproot.....

I would look at it wondering WTF is that?? so finally yesterday I decided to dig it up....

Sure enough taproot was up and shellside was down, whole thing about 1/4" long.. I took it out, flipped it over put in taproot down and put some dirt over it.

This morning there it is popped thru, maybe it will make it, looks to be green so who knows :thumbsup:

I water them about twice a day, depending on how it looks if it looks and feels crusty I water just enough for a drip out the bottom..

If you look in the above picture you can see that the middle one needs water, and after the picture, I did water.

It's been 10 days since I last updated...

It looks like the little one just isn't going to make it, so it'll be up to the other two, hope one or both are female.

The 1st 3 pics 22 days looks good, normal..

The last 5 pics 20 days looks odd so took a few more for you all to look at, I know some of you have seen grows like this before..

Lol, that is funny with that big ole honking leaf coming off that stubby plant in those last two pics!! LMAO! It looks like it has great internodal growth though. I'm looking forward to watching this turn into a monster!

bige.. nice start.. let me warn you that these jack herer plants get extremely tall and without a good HID HPS light you are most likely going to have very poor light coverage. If you shelled out the cash for the real herer seeds you might want to consider investing in a good HID system. Ive seen these herer plants grow up to the top of 6ft high cabs and grow across sideways as well (but that was hydro).

You may also wish to consider flowering early as it might keep the plants shorter. My exp with herer is that it can hold off on showing sex till week 3 or later of budding.
