Modesto's California Healthcare Collective Raided by DEA

This was on the news tonight. I have visited this dispensary before and I have usually suspected something a bit shady about them... and I guess this confirms my suspicions.

Personally, I feel fucked out of my money knowing that a single penny went to a man who was involved in the beating death of somebody--over something as petulant as a car-egging. In my opinion anyone who is involved in violent crime should be sent to prison for a very long time, or up to alaska to slave on government land :]

They obviously laundered money because of the car valued at 170,000 USD (this is a form of money laundering). Also, I feel it was unnecessary to have so many weapons on site. No business operating legitimately would need all these weapons. I feel that that could also possibly be a form of money laundering due to the value of the guns found on site.

So in this case, I don't feel very sorry for their raid by the DEA. Infact, quite the contrary; i feel the DEA did what is right in this case. In this country we have laws, and one cannot simply commit such harsh gun crimes and abuse the medical marijauna system for personal profit. This is why I personally oppose the medical marijuana system as it currently is; I believe cannabis could be improved in a laboratory , and i think cannabis should be sold in the pharmacies, and regulated.

I tell folks that I toke for medicinal reasons,because even mex-brick has a value medicinally,mostly as an anti-spasmodic,in that it relaxes my back and rib cage muscles,it doesn't have as much effect on my chronic pain..that's where higher value thc comes into play,but I don't have access to any of that.

Medical marijuana has been abused terribly by illegal drug dealers. I think we need to all wake the fuck up and not tolerate it. These are drug dealers making a profit, they don't actually give a fuck about sick people so long as their pockets are lined with gold and profit.

Again, legalizing it is a much better option because this eliminates the chance for people to exploit the herb.

And one of the saddest things about the system as it stands, is that currently people involved with cashcropping make their profits based upon the illegality of the substance, and decriminalizing it would NOT be in their best interests.

I honestly believe in sharing the green. It's a plant; anyone, anywhere should be able to grow it and give it away freely just like those big baskets of zucchinis that we rural people are plagued with at the end of the summer. Too many to go around!

Cannabis, medical or otherwise, should be sold for little more than the cost of the electricity taken to produce it, and the man-hours involved with tending it.
