Best way to mature lower bud?

Right iv got my self a lovely 7ft tall sativa its has humongous buds on it and its a bout 4 weeks in.. however as u can see from the pics.. the lower buds are blocked by most of the buds and foliage form above and consequently a minuscule in size..

The plant is out side so i cant leave the under developed bud there after iv chopped the tops cus there just isnt time.. "Dam winter!" *shakes fist in anger at mother nature*

so whatâ??s the best idea to get those little-uns to become bigger-uns?

iv herd pruning isnt so good for the plant is this right?

i was thinking of.. some sort of home made reflector for the lower half of the plant?

Any help would beee.. well.. helpful.. :)

Well, I can't really be helpful with how to get them bigger, except to harvest your top buds first and leave the smaller ones there as long as you can without the frost killing them...I WOULD, however, like to see a wideshot pic of that 7 foot mammoth you have! :D Thanks! Good luck.

You can move some fan leaves around (dont clip them!!!) to allow more light rhough and then reposition the lower branches depending on how big they are. Try to tie them down so they are more flat out and can get more sun.

I know there is plenty that will say never remove fan leaves but I would clip them off and allow some light to the lower buds and not even give it a second thought.

If I were going to get a killing frost, I'd just cut the branches down and put them in a vase like cut flowers. Then I'd keep them under fluoros to ripen a bit more. Every few days, change the water to prevent bacteria building up and clogging the tubes that drink in the water. If your water gets cloudy, cut a little bit off the end of the stem of your "flowers" and clean the vase and add new water. It should buy you a couple of weeks of ripening time.

really? a couple of weeks.. as much as that? thats a good idea.. bar the fact that this is a moma of a plant.. im not sure if iv got enuff space and to that. or enuff lights! lol

How about some light pruning? I'm not only gonna remove some leaves but also the smaller bud sites above the lower branches. If you have some smaller branches shading above them, clip them so the energy will concentrate on fewer bud sites and help them grow bigger. I rather have fewer branches and more light to the buds.

:eek: ive herd the word bush before, but thats just mental !:dance:
in retrospect you could have trained it by tying the branches down, but it looks a bit too "fully grown" lol to do any serious shape changing.

i guess you could do some tactical puning of some of the bigger leaves, but as said, only lightly.

I think bagseeds would be more fun than what you order, not that it would be more potent or a very healthy grow but it'd be fun just to see what the buds you smoked in a bag grow up to be xD.
