i recently came down with a cold (sinus congestion & cough) and i was just wondering if anyone here smokes while they're sick. i haven't smoked yet because i don't think my lungs will like it much because they are already not 100% and common sense tells me putting smoke in them will make things worse. anyone here smoke when they are sick and does it do more good or bad?
Well it depends on how sick you feel I guess. I ussually smoke while I have a cold, since colds arn't really that bad. But I won't sick on a stomach flu or anything.

youll feel better while high then far worse when you come down. You'll take longer to get better too. Forget it and save that bud for a better day. Too many people make the association that because it has medical value it is a magic-cure-all that relieves all ills.

I had a sinus cold a week or 2 ago, I also had a soar throat but when i smoke the reefer it seemed to help it. It was cool but it wasnt a permanent fix.

Under NO circumstances are burning objects and inhaling the fumes good for you.. NEVER.......... It is especially bad for you when you are SICK..

i smoked a bowl early last night and felt better and didn't feel any worse when i came down. then later on i rolled a fat J full of some of the best chronic iowa has to offer right now and smoked it with my girlfriend and we were taking funny pictures with her macbook photo booth thing and then all of a sudden i had to lay down. i also had 2 oz of different kinds of tylenol cold medicine in me too and i couldn't do anything but lay there and i thought i was going to puke. i also had insane closed eye visuals for like an hour or so as i layed in my bed. i don't think i am going to smoke anymore until i get better because its not as enjoyable as when i'm healthy. thanks for all the input guys.
makes me feel way better clears of symptoms of the cold.
it does make you feel better but coming down,, i get so tired
Shouldnt really condone it but I to smoke while sick. If you have a cough or harsh weed for that matter, a trick my mates dad showed me was to inhale through a damp cloth. Saves you coughing up a lung!

well i smoked once or twice while i was sick and i don't think it did any harm. it did help me sleep, so i just took a lot of medicine and got a lot of rest. it took me like 3 days, a bottle of tylenol cold medicine, and some nasal decongestants. i'm not sure if i would recommend heavy smoking, but i don't think a bowl in the middle of the day to put me out for a few hours hurt anything. at least not in my case.

yeah, you should probably try cooking it or something, or at the very least make some leary biscuits. you get a cracker and cheese/peanut butter and sprinkle grounded up weed on top of it and microwave it a little so it activates the THC. its supposed to be a total body high, so that might relieve you of your ills and save you the trouble of inhaling smoke!
I can't smoke it when my throat's sore/chest hurts, I can barely take a hit. So if you can bake it, then do that, because that won't make you feel any worse.
it makes me feel better, helps me eat if im not hungry, and puts me to sleep for a couple hours

it will make you feel better after your high the trouble is if you have a sore or raw throat then smoking and caughing hurts really bad. even then you can do it. being high is worth the hacking but it can be very painful. idk if it makes it worse but the coughung hurts like hell. drink ALOT of water and juice or w/e and get some sleep, toke when you can
well, at the moment i have glandular fever or however you spell it, and it sux, it hurts when i swallow and my throat is so swollen i can hardly breathe, but smoking weed has definately helped me in getting through it, - IT HASNT CURED ANYTHING! but, it has helped me sleep better and when your throat constantly feels like a sack of broken glass, sleep is a blessing. if you really want to feel better, watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IERz...elated&search=
