holy shit!!!! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meh. Back when they tested the first nuke scientists weren't yet sure that it wouldn't set the entire planet's atmosphere on fire.
son of a bitch. there they go messing with dimentions now... psh. we're all dead for sure
theyl open it and some fuckin tenacle like monster with telepathic power will be sucked through making the entire world its slave! :p
"The Large Hadron Collider - a 27km-long circular particle accelerator at the CERN experimental facility near Geneva, will smash protons into one another at unimaginable speeds trying to replicate in miniature the events of the Big Bang.
If the theories are correct, the machine will create tiny black holes that evaporate and possibly even find particles that offer evidence that the three dimensions known to mankind are just a fraction of those that exist.
"For the first time in many decades we have built a machine that exceeds our powers of prediction.
Dr Cox dismissed worries that by adventuring into the unknown and creating tiny black holes, the machine could even destroy the planet."
i dont know about you guys, but this article is tripping me the fuck out.
look at the very it end it says they predict it destroying the world are relatively small....very comforting huh?
curiousity killed that cat....or in this case earth...
"The risk is calculated at about 10 to the minus 40 - a 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ,000."

HAHA. Good one bob....thats got to be one of my favorite movies. Jim Carrey is a crazy ass actor. :thumbsup:Quote:

im by no means scared. but its just, when the wolrds top nerds start fucking around with other dimentions, you know some shits gonna go down
right but trial and error in this case could result in mis calculation...or even worse...the end of the world?
were talkin about black holes...were not just talkin about a portal to a different place or dimesion or w/e....were potentially fuckin with the time line itself...
No reason to fear when we've got someone who can fix a broken radiator hanging off the roof of a volvo with no brakes (going down a hill at 50mph) with nothing but some gum, a newspaper and a thimble.Quote:

EDIT: haha Macgyver
alright alright...lets say theyre right...all theyre math adds up and they sucessfully open a portal to another dimesion....what if something pops out of that fucker that we cant handle...u think that fit into their equasions?

Check out Steven Hawking's Universe (A PBS special)... you won't be disappointed.
^ ^ u missed my post above urs
ok, so these guys open and close a bunch of black holes. if black holes consume all matter, light and even TIME. (how can you consume time?) then some SHIT... is going downQuote:

Assuming they "open a black hole"Quote:

It's kinda like space travel in a sense they didn't know if little green men were going to be waiting just out of orbit or not...and when we finally got there.. we were amazed to find... Nothing!

found that video, haven't watched it but it seems like it's interesting as they use the dude from Jurrasic Park to host it ... haha..
Happy Black Hole Hunting,
Bob.
I've gotta agree. The guys doing these tests have more knowledge about space and physics than all of us here will all have combined. They're not gonna open up another demension. That isn't what a black hole is. Best of luck to 'em. Maybe it'll take us a step closer to understanding the true meaning of life.Quote:

Exactly.. this only brings us closer to understand where life and our.. well.. where WE come from...Quote:

no more saying they're going to blow up the world. because in all actuallity you and i both know we are in no danger at all. But it seems to anger bob that you and i both have an immature hollywood view of space and science ahah. so be more realistic, otherwise bob will take you seriously and tell you why there is no reason these guys shouldnt be fucking with other dimmentions hahaQuote:

bob can get angry?...hmm...i dunno...nothin a little herb cant fix... **passes the J**
whether it angered you or not, you still insulted the both of us. we're just tossing around ideas and you tell us we have a Hollywood view of space and such. I see any and all attempts to expand the knowledge of the human race as good things. And while i feel perfectly safe in their research, they are doing something no one has ever done before. and my far fetched contemplations sprouted from initial amazement. haha i hadn't read the full article. then you showed me the statistic and i was like oh
did u just edit ur post cause it wasnt like that until i refreshed...
what the fuck just happened to my post?
I in no way singled out you or dryst.. you seem to have done that for me.Quote:

That and having lots of sex (number 1 reason in my book).
we were the ones you were currently talking to, there is no "singling out" neccessary. you were refering to us nonetheless. but seriously, what the fuck happened to my post hahaQuote:
