Is it Normal?

Ok, I'm not worried about odor at this point, because it's not strong, and I'm not worried about it in the long run because I just finished reading a terrific DIY by postmandave for a bucket contraption that'll take care of it nicely, though I do have a minor question about how to power the CPU fan. *shakes head* But I digress.

Basically, I'm just wanting to know if it's normal for 3 week old plants to make a 10x10x12 room smell strongly of spearmint. I'm not just surprised by them being so young and yet having such a strong smell. I'm also surprised by the scent itself. I never would have dreamed spearmint, man. I mean, it's uberyummy smelling in there, but is the age and spacific scent normal?

Different strains of MJ have different smells so its possible to be stinking this early in its life.:dance:

Heyla, Bodom. Thanks for the FAQ. I'm definitely gonna read that cuz my babies are already putting out a perfume strong enough to smell with the door open and a fan circulating the air in the grow room. I think that must mean that in a couple more weeks I won't be able to do without that most excellent deodorizer that postmandave showed me how to build.:D

BTW, my beauties are White Widdow, and if they smell this good now I can't wait to smoke'm...assuming, of course, I can get them to grow all the way to harvest.:rolleyes:

It is awesome. I just wasn't expecting them to have a noticable odor until they started flowering, and they'll only be 4 weeks old come thursday. They's wee bairns yet...weeks away from buds.

This isn't, technically, my first grow. I tried a few months ago with soil. They commited suicide. I came home from work one morning and found them with itty, bitty wakizashi lying at their base, and guts spilled all over the soil.:sadcrying

Excellent *insert Mr.Burns type sibilance* Sounds very nice. But as I said on another thread here, I'm not terribly mechanical...I think the one postmandave shows how to build will be the limit of my capabilities. Too bad I can't talk you into coming over and building it for me. *cheeky grin*

I just use other ideas i come across on here and improvise them if need be to my own specs. :pimp:

Just mess around with shit and break some stuff...thats what i do....then i learn some stuff too:thumbsup:

heh...sounds rather like me when I get a wild hair across my ass and decide that I can do something myself. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't, but I usually learn something from the experience.
