marijuana not flushed; sparkles when burned

Hey guys, can anyone help me out here? A few times I picked up some hydro (completely seedless) that sparkles and pops when you burn it. Smoking it, I noticed I started having sharp headaches and getting blurry vision in one eye several hours later.

Someone told me that this is due to the weed not being flushed before it is harvested, something all hydro growers have to do. Supposedly the fertilizers they use in the soil should be replaced with nothing but water for a week or so before harvesting, or the nutrients from the fertilizer will be in the bud, causing these side effects when smoked

Does anyone know how to clean bud like this, or if it is safe to smoke it? I can deal with the headaches if I know that my brain isn't being permanently damaged by this shit. Or should I just throw away the whole oz and buy from someone else?

yes there's been a few threads on this already. you're right about the plant not being flushed 2 weeks before harvest. when there's nutes that haven't been flushed it tends to give the weed a harsher smoke. why you're getting headaches i'm not sure but it should be safe to smoke.

can anyone link these threads that talk about it? I really want to know if I should go on smoking this stuff or if I should just, *sob*, throw out the whole oz.

Dont throw away ur weed. It will not damage ur brain. If u dont like it, thats another story.

I've had weed pop when I smoked it...didn't get headaches or anything, just got nice'n high. :)

ive had weed sparkle pop then burst into flames in a joint the funniest part was it was weed from a roach that a friend gave me the roach had flags on the joint i took it out of the paper and put it in a grandparent joint and i was smokeing then it caught on fire and the flame burned my nose i was like whoa its like fireworks the 4th of july then i laughed my ass off

I would stop gettin weed from that connect. Yes this is true, everything is happening because of chemicals still left in the plant before harvesting which was not allowed to be flushed properly. Also dont get it confused, this just doesnt go for hydroponic growers, this also goes for soil growers that use synthetic nutrients. Just get better connects man.

thanks for the help guys. I was a little confused about the soil and whatnot; I'm not a grower. I'm gonna look into what it takes to flush the weed.

if you're really worried about it don't flush it, but make some cookies or honey oil with it.

I've had weed that sparkled when lit. Really noticable in a pipe or bong.. I was like 'oooh, look.. i've never seen that before!'

Well, I guess now I know 'hey, there's chemicals in that'. Oh well... that weed was fucking awesome and it got me blitzed. I had no complaints, or bad side effects for that matter. :)

AFAIK, once it's been picked and dried and such, you can't flush it...

You can smoke it, or throw it away. Definetly don't buy weed from that guy again.

WATER CURE!

Its easy. Place the bud in a shallow bowl/dish, and place some water in the bowl. Leave that somewhere cool and dark, and each day change the water. Do this for a week. After you've done this, simply place the bud, suspended by string, in a cardboard box for a few days to dry out. Remember to put this somewhere cool and dark too.
The way it works is the water absorbs the nasty chemicals in the bud, whilst leaving 99.9% of the THC and other 'good' chemicals intact as THC is NOT water soluble. Granted, the bud wont look as nice afterwards, but it will still taste the same (possibly better due to no fertilizers) and smell the same.
