dry them as much as possible, the dryer the leaves, the more crystals that will fall thru the screen.
Use em all!!! Dry them good then freeze them!!!!! at least thats what i have heard to do....
uve never tried it tho?
u need to dry leavs, dry them good!!! Then put them in the freezer for 1-2 days, then shake them.
Why is this in the "hydro section" ?
b0nger
ummm...
from what i understood you could make hash from any kinds of pot leaves?
why couldn''t this be in the hydro section?

i have made hash in several ways , pollinator machine, hand shake, crisalicer, and bubblebags, the weed always needs to be very dry!,, and the fan leaves unless visibly coated in tricomes should be left out, alot of bulk and very little crystals, the best to use is close trim only, and lower buds even,i have thrown in some plants before that a wasnt to impressed with!.
always best to freeze the weed first for a couple of days in the freezer, as thats what you hope to achieve with ice and water extraction, even for the pollinator machines and the hand shake, the freezing breacks of the crystal from the leave , same as making oil with gas! the bubble bag is far by the best method i have found for hash extraction!. exphensive to buy, but many grow shops offer them for hire,
and on the subject of being in the hydro section,,, i grow hydro, and make hydro hash!!!lol
the last one i did was last week, 200 grams of close bud trim made 28
gramms of hash, which aint bad for nothing!.
the bubble bags also grade the hash for ya and in all ya get four very good grades, two not soo good!
the last i did was from superskunk and white russian trim!
it was awesome and made an afgan like soft squishy hash in two of the last bags
very impressed with it , go for it , and have fun!
Because it's sort of a general question, and you'd get more answers in a forum viewed by all growers, not just hydro folks (although I'm one to talk, I don't do hydro anymore :D)Quote:

Totally foolproof:
DRY leaves, stems, etc. really well.
Place in large glass mason jar.
Pour a bottle of isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) over them.
Poke the plant matter with a stainless spoon.
Cover, shake the jar, let sit overnight.
Strain liquid into glass pyrex or other cooktop-safe container.
Put a pot of water on the stove, bring to a boil.
Put your container with the alcohol on top of the pot, so it is heated by the rising steam.
It will take a while, but what's left after evaporation is going to MESS YOU UP.
:D
Don't burn down your kitchen.
if ya dont see them crystals they arent there.! have fun!! and stay safe!
Just one thing that may be missed.
When making hash using large fan leafs that have no THC showing will only give you more plant matter to deal with. The extra Chlorophyll will taste like shit and can wreck a good hash. As it was said before you are better off using the trim from the bud. The idea is to have more Trichomes then plant matter filled with chlorophyll.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=F0rm1nGmS8s have a look at this..
looks like youd want aged trims that have been frozen maybe even.
if you want to use wet leaves, try the iso alchohal. it pulls thc oil from inside and outside.
I heard you had to let the leaves sit for six months ... that is not the case? They only have to be good and dry?
they don't need to sit any longer than it takes for them to dry...perhaps the person you heard that from was talking about fresh seeds? fresh-harvested seeds need to sit a few months before use...
