So are they supposed to be like that? A friend of mine who grows outdoors mentioned it--I thought they were trying to make themselves look bigger to like, ward off predators or something. I was using Cal Mag to 450ppm, pro blood to 700 and hydroplex to 900ppm (R/O water) plus some Liquid Karma and Sweet (to 1250ppm) Rooms stays at 74 degrees, have a fan blowing etc. 1k watt light about 2 feet above plants although these two plants are taller and sort of shoved off to the side. Could it be the lighting? Also the ph in my system has always been very stable and the last few weeks it has been rising very quickly--am having to adjust it daily. Common or uncommon?
Any info appreciated

the nodes are to far apart, tipicly if the lights are close enought the nodes will be no more than 1/2 " apart
your plants are REACHING for the light jsut like you wo uld with your arms if you were trying to reach up to grab somthin
peace stay safe

Yes, they do do that--I've had to get more aggressive with lowering my light cause I'm always afraid they'll burn. I;ll get it lower on my next grow.

how many plants are in your setup?
week six flowering--fan leaves pointing up
I have a waterfarm with 8 modules so started with 8, three turned out to be males, so five by the end. Have harvested 3--giving the other two a few more days. I will post a pic when I have finished harvest. I did top them too so there are more colas then just five main ones.

When the large fan leafs point in a "V" shape that is a good sign. It means they are happy and the nutrients are in balance.

Great setup. I was thinking of going with the same setup, but maybe later after I get sum hydro experience in. Do you have to use a chiller in your controller bucket?

I do like the setup although it can have drawbacks--each plant grows its own way so I have to check ph seperately in each one--ph stayed very stable all the way through grow but went to town in the blooming phase so had to check them often. Once I set them up rows with irrigation tubes I discovered that you really can't move them around too much so I had to really be careful stepping around them until I bought a bunch of those adapters that can turn the flow off to each one. Now I can unhook any one module from the group and change it or switch a few modules around to get the light better so I really liked that cause as they grow they really start taking up the space and require moving around. This was my very first grow also and I was absolutely blown away by the results!! I don't use a chiller or anything--we have central AC and I had a HUGE heat problem in that room with the 1k watt light (had the central AC running AND a window ac too--nice electrical bill the first month) until I bought an inline fan that that works like a charm to draw out the heat. Now the room stays at 74 F. with just the central on at normal (no window AC needed) and the water at about 70.
PS--happy to hear my plants look happy and nutrient balanced--hopefully they will be sharing that happiness soon, lol.

hopefully soon. How was your two plants that were harvested? good yield?
week six flowering--fan leaves pointing up
Well I have harvested all five at this point (sorry--my hubby says no more pics due to his paranoia) and harvested 7.8 oz finished manicured bud. (very stoney!!!) I know that's not a super yield but I'm pleased as punch!! I can already think of several things to do for my next grow (planted seeds yesterday) that I think will improved both the length of time and the yield so can't wait to start round two. Been watching on the news and there are tons of busts going on in my area--outdoor gardens being torn up right and left now that outdoor harvest is approaching. Glad to know I am stocked!
