i hate watching scary movies.. not just bc i cant sleep after lol.. a lot of them are just maddddddddd freaky and/or stupid! i hate them (w/ some exceptions). a lot of the newer ones seem really similar (at least from the previews). and i hate them when im stoned they freak me out. anyone else hate them? and why.

Look, after "SEVEN" was out, everyone is on a race to make the sickest film since then. But I think its fun to watch Saw or Hostel stoned to fuck with some friends. I like to do it, its so funny watchin everybodys stoned reactions to the film :D:D:D
saw 2 is a killer when you want your friends to crap themselves... id rather watch sdomething funny but scary movies dont worry me realy.. has anyone seen 13 ghosts when your high...

Me and a few friends got real blazed and went and saw texas chainsaw massacre, to tell ya the truth i didnt think it ws scary (maybe its because ive seen the original and the plot line was kinda similar) but my other 2 friends were being the biggest pussies. one actually jumped out of his seat and let out a kinda halfassed scream. I started laughing at him and he got pissed.
funny shit to watch other guys get scared and try and cover it up. never let him live it down either.
saw 1 and 2 were probably some of the lamest movies ive ever seen, scary movies aren't really scary anymore. But, i do like zombie movies still haha

good zombie movies are tight, the new dawn of the dead was sweet. i gotta say the old dawn of the dead movies were lame because you could just push them over and be safe.

Watch Shaun of the Dead. It's got zombies in it, but it's really more of a romantic comedy. To sneak by a huge gang of zombies, this group of people pretend to be zombies. It's hilarious!

just watch The Fly. not only is it amazing but its got jeff goldblum in it how can you go wrong with him vomiting on people and melting there limbs. but dont watch the fly 2 or you might decide to kill yourself cause it is so bad

Like this part in one of the newer exorcists, they are following the girl, light goes out, guy tries to strick a match, what the fuck do you think is going to happen once the match is lit? Yep, the girl was right in his face and the WHOLE fuckin' audience jumped at it, I just sat there thinking "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING, NO ONE ELSE SAW THAT COMING?".
Well, some of them are just SO bad that they become more funny than scary. And I kinda like those! I remember my brother-in-law took me to see the movie 'Zombie' on the big screen. When the zombies were pulling some girl's guts out, this black dude sitting in front of us started puking on his girlfriend. Me and my brother-in-law fell off our seats laughing at that guy. Bad horror is a form of comedy!
man, the funniest shit happened today in school.
Im taking this science fiction class and theres only like 3 other tokers in the class and we chill inthe back surrounded by these straight edge geeks. So since its the first few days of school, the teacher puts in a movie, Aliens (the 2nd one)
So we watch the movie tot he point where the facehugger thing jumps outand tries to attack the little girl and ripley. this kid almost falls out of his seat and tries to cover his mouth with his shirt. later on the aliens themselves are attacking the marines and hes breathing so hard and he finally just covers his ears and puts his head down.
Me and the other friends have that class in the morning so we blazed before it. man we could not stop laughing at this kid, i mean its aliens... more action than horror i think but this guy was scared out of his mind. funny shit though

From early stuff like Nosferatu, Frankenstein ,The Blob :D and the original Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, to the modern (often remakes of superior movies) horror of Saw, Hostel and of course the Silent Hill and Resident Evil spinoffs.
Some of my faves are the "bad" movies such as Braindead and Driller Killer.
All horror is to me is entertainment, with a large dose of dark humour preferably.
Ones to watch out for if you haven't seen them are :
Bad Taste
Any Toxic Avenger and most Troma movies (only if you are strange :D )
Evil Dead of course
Re-Animator ,, class movie
PS Aliens is a creature feature and therefore should fall under the catagory horror and it's only claim to sci-fi status is it's location.

Most scary movies suck, they just rely on blood and gore. However, one movie has succeeded in giving me nightmares. Fire in the Sky. Its based on a true story of alien abduction. I was around 12-13 when it came out, saw it once and never again :eek: . If I watched it now, I'd probably be fine, but back then that was terrifying. I don't know, I just guess aliens are scarier than monsters because they could be real.
If you want to watch a crazy movie stoned, try watching Natural Born Killers. It totally trips with your mind and is one of the greatest in my book.
Oliver Stone really knows how to make a trippy movie, but add to the fact that Quentin Tarantino wrote the movie while Trent Reznor from NIN collaborated the soundtrack you are in for a real treat!

I'm mostly into comedy's because I have always loved making people happy, but I can watch a scary movie now and then, because I too love scaring people. :D

horrors is the only typa movie i watch now, the rest i find boring. Pulse is a pretty cool movie, but i wouldnt call that horror. I always think directors destroy a movie when they make it into a trilogy.
There pretty much aren't any scary movies for the simple fact, when I watch it, it's just a movie.
But that doesn't mean they aren't awesome though.
