Anyone know of any? I want to breed some THC-laden varieties with varieties of larger yield. Probably going to use Big Bud for the large yield.

Look into any Haze strains and Kush strains, especially Kush. They are known for very low yeilds but very high potency.
umm, don't ya think you need to get some growing experience first? i mean you haven't even finished a grow and you're already starting a breeding program? breeding goes far deeper than just putting two plants together and hoping for the best...one needs to know what they're doing first by picking the cream of the crop for further breeding then going through a cubing process to stabalize the new strain or else all ya have is a genetic mess with no rhyme or reason.
try getting in a good harvest first then worry about the progeny at a later date after you have enough stash built up to see your way through 4 months of growing a seeded crop. there's already a shitload of mutt seeds floating around...
So how bout some small yield-high potency strains?
I don't know which Kush varieties you have grown that had a small yield, as far as I know Kush varieties are associated with a pretty nice yield.
Anyway, I would have to agree with m.g. there PrisonerInGlass. But to answer you question, Try some Mazar, Diesel (preferably #2, thats exactly what your looking for), Hash Plant, G13 (if you can find it) all of these strain are extremely potent, none have a THC content below 30%, well the Mazar might I can't remember...
low ryder :D great for first time grower to
no no he said POTENT NOT YIELDING MUCH PLANTS! Not unstable, semi potent not yielding much plants...(not a fan of lowryder at all:p )Quote:

Many kush strains don't yeild much. The one I'm about to name isn't even a kush strain. OG kush is what you would want to bred with. But unless your a cali boy like me good luck! Butter just came out with a new OG kush that smokes oh so nice. But good luck hacks like you just make shit most of the time. I'm sure it sounds fun but grow weed for now. When you got more space then you know what to do with you breed.
Also lowrider sucks. Just make into bubble.
go for white russian seeds, i think its ha the highest thc levels (22% or something), but not a small yielder
i think u suck...a "cali boy" like urself...lets see some pics of ur "perfect" growsQuote:

Rockbud from Soma has an okay yeild and as very potent. It is 100% Indica and finishing height is between 1-3ft in height.
Nothing wrong with Lowryder if you're just starting off, but in the future, you'll def. want to branch out to more challenging grows. The potency all depends of what you feed it, but it isn't a 1 hit wonder strain, but still has quality to it.
You can mock LR all you want, all I know is that every summer, I get three harvests using LR instead of just one harvest. They grow fast and are small, so they are easy to hide.
LR indoors in my opinion, is good for a first grow, other than that, grow it outdoors like I do and get yeilds every 8weeks.
hmm can i harvest a plant more than once?
How many plants do you grow at the same time?Quote:

Second, you must have not been growing your kush strains right because I've had almost a pound off one Hindu Kush plant.
Third, White Russian doesn't have the highest THC percent.
Fourth, Yes Rockbud is a very good strain, not sure if its small yielding though.
I know I live above San Francisco, but I don't suck.Quote:

Third, I never said I grow perfect you just made that up.
And sorry I was stoned and mixed in my head indica and kush. Yes, some kushes do produce more.
And hindu kush is an afghanica ,not an indica. Some growers don't know the difference. That's very common not to know, since most books just clump them together.
Thank you Seedsman for this tidbit:
"Afghan Hybrids
The cannabis in Afghanistan is renowned because of the excellent hashish that can be produced from it.
Afghani cannabis is of the indica variety although it has also been described as Cannabis ‘Afghanica’ due to its distinctive nature. Afghani indica strains are characterised by certain traits which include; short plants, thick stems, prolific branching, thick dark leafs and leaflets and abundant resin."
It is scientifically C. indica var. afghanica.
Thanks StinkyAttic, I didn't feel like responding to him. ;)
Afghanica isn't a family of Cannabis. Indica, Sativa, and Ruderalis are. Afghanica is a strain, though.
big bud X NL5
Afghanica is a varity, Afghani is a strain.Quote:

Atleast I know how to spell Jorge Cervantes...I don't know 'shit' but I know a hella of alot about growing cannabis.

I will atest that it is super-strong even though not as skunky smelling as you might expect.
My buddy tells me that the yields are above average.
