Hey guys, seeing as we are all from england I was wondering if anyone can suggest some great soil or compost that i can use.
I'm looking for something simple such as something from a garden centre/B+Q/Homebase etc. that's all in one bag.
cheers:thumbsup:
hi from bournemouth
use the same stuff they grow tomatoes in, i've known quite a few people growing succesfully with that.Quote:

Yeah I used some homebase stuff and I'm trying this tomato one from B+Q now, I was just wondering if anyone had tried an extensive list and had some results.
I haven't had any problems using what I'm using, it's just if I can get more results...... ;)
I use composted bark from B+Q mixed with a little perlite, it doesn't have a lot of nutrient value in itself but it is great for strong roots as it is very light and airy. Also almost impossible to over-water and a snip at £3.98 for 75 litres.
hi from merseyside here nice to see some fellow growers out there from the  uk
Alrite guys im from the uk im from near newcastle hav ne of you guys tried growing before
yeah bobby I did it pretty succefully a year ago or so, just started my second grow, decided not to do it for a while. Stupidily told the wrong people, now its all died down so im trying again but this time I'm not telling anyone!

ummmm. mole you told us!
any1 here from Wimbledon or Mordon or somewhere near there?
Middlesbrough here. I use any compost and add perlite and vermiculite. Look at seedboutique for power strains, and real cheap. I planted 12 beans and they all popped in 3 days. 3 working day delivery plus free seeds.
Oi Oi:D South West London here.
I get all my kit from Growell Hydroponics and Plant Lighting. There's one in Fulham, London and another in Birmingham.

Also started with B&Q compost but using proper Bio Buzz stuff now. The plants seem to like it more:thumbsup:

Growell are good for some nutes and adjusta-wings and light hangars. Besides that they are wank lol. They don't sell the soil I use. They are losing business!
Their new man they can't sell everything, name a shop you can walk into and see all of it on the shelves and at the prices they do? I always defend growell because their more like a business than some small time operation, duno how many of you guys have gone into small hydrophonics shops, but they overcharge and I've seen people get ripped off badly, shoddy out of date equiptment.Quote:

They also do a great line in natural air freshners!
hi im from
south east london
big up all the u.k growers
Didn't know they were new. I know they got more bases than another shop i use, thas pretty much it. I didn't ask em how long they been in operation. I just keep asking for the stuff I want but they don't seem to get it. Greenstream sells everything I want except Hygozyme because of the cost of it but they said they will order it for me any time i want it. Growell is just OK, the greatest thing is their birmingham location, out in the country. Less likely peeps will see you load your van up with stuff and unload it in your house. Greenstream will match any bodies price also, all i do is point to the product in Growells catalogue and say 'naa, you charge too much kidda'.Quote:

NW London, Wimbledon is not far for me, go down there often, and got a mate who lives in Kingston. What's happening?!Quote:
