Force flowering

Do any of you grow masters have Knowledge about force flowering. I have a few Nev. haze crosses in pop up greenhouses. I wanted to harvest before 2007 so i started covering said greenhouses @ around 20:30 and uncovering them 12 hrs. later. My question is A: does anyone know apx. what photoperiod triggers haze strains to flower. Now that I have them jump started and flowering well I would prefer to get back to flowering by natures method of descending day lenghts ASAP.(covering them is a pain in the rear) And B: will the transition from force flowering to descending day length flowering be horribly stressfull?
The first night i don't cover them will be shorter than the 12 hr. nights that preceded it. (Not conduscive to flowering). But each subsequent night will be longer and hopefully back to flowering. Any thoughts/advice?

Hello: I spoke to the great people @ Female seeds and they informed me the min. amt of light required for Nev. haze to maintain flowering is 12hrs. She also said 10 light 14 dark would be even better. So if any of you are trying to flower Nev. haze outdoors in N. America(like this bonehead) goodluck! oneluv.

More often than my doctor thinks is healthy. But in this case since Female seeds was kind enough to answer my query I thought I'd pass on what i found out. Happy harvest.

I'd been trying to flower on 32 on/ 14 and a half off and nothing was happening! My bad.
Now I realize I should have read the FAQs.

Okay in all seriousness, just go straight to 12/12. Be precise. A timer to turn off lights is better, but if you're in a greenhouse in the US your plants are going to start flowering at the equinox anyway, so why risk messing around with their photoperiod and potentially stressing them enough to go hermie on you?

Right.... Equinox is September 21. Bud set and ripening takes 8 weeks. Therefore you will harvest in 2006.

More like 12 weeks according to female seeds. These plants(almost pure haze) need a min. of 12 hrs. dark to start flowering. At 45 plus Degrees north latitude the day length on the fall equinox (sept 23rd) will be well over 13 hrs. I don't get to 12/12 naturally until mid. october. And at any rate I was asking for help, looking to commune with fellow enthusiasts and you seem to want to break my shoes. If you want me to admit your better to me in all ways before God. I stipulate it to be true. Now unless you want to be nice to me. Go pick on someone your own size.:p

flowering outdoors is different then indoors. indoors u need 12 hours of darkness but outdoors it can flower wen its over 13 hours of light

Are you people stoned when you post these replies? The whole premise of my question was to ask thoughtfull knowledgable people a very specific question about Nevilles Haze. As was made clear to me today by the breeder my particular strain of Haze needs a min. of 12hrs darkness to flower. But 14 would be better. That's why this strain when not forced to flower will not be harvested until years end(here and coincidentally in Holland). Now if I had asked them the very same question about the predominantly indica strain i purchased from them i would have recived a much different answer. The only mistake i made was posting this question here and not going to the source to begin with. It's clear there are some real master gardeners in this forum but it's also clear a lot of product is being sampled:stoned: Just because you have a keyboard doesn't mean you need to use it. now those 50 seconol on the other hand...

tha forum is for growers and stoners alike.. alot of people just like to comment.. most plants work with a veg cycle of 24/0 to 18/6 light for the 1st 2 months of life, and then slowly dwindle to 12/12 to 14/10.. on/off.. the logic is simple.. more day means more growth.. more night means time's running out.. plants arent human so its easier to 'trick them' i'd say to slowly recede to shorter light time til you get to the 12/12.. the plants should follow suit..

Your 'particular strain' is still cannabis. All cannabis except for an autoflowering strain with C. ruderalis genetics needs the 12/12 cycle to flower. Yes, outdoors they flower earlier unless you're growing in the middle of a big ass prairie where your true day length is longer than someone growing between some mountains. It isn't really necessary to gradually shorten the days. You are opening yourself up to making mistakes with the light cycle and stressing the plants. You should just be patient.

Your original light cycle plant WILL stress your plants. But I have no fucking clue what I'm talking about. I can't even grow a Chia pet.

Force flowering = 12 hours of light after that tie a bag over it make surei ts resting on sticks or something not on the plant. So if you wake up at 6:00 am and the sun rises at 6:45 am, Then at 6:45 pm cover it. Even if it is still light out. It only needs 12 hours light. Then cover it up till its really dark come out uncover it. Naturaly the days will fall to 12/12 when the plant would flower.
