getting a hair cut, help me out

okay potheads, i am currently faced with quite a dilema.
when i was in middle school, i got a brush stuck in my hiar really close to the scalp. i had to cut it out and for a few months i went around with a tuft of very short hair around my face. i contemplated cutting off all of my hiar to match the length of the piece that i had to chop off. everyone said i could pull it off and ever since then, i have wanted to cut my hair boy-short.
i have made several hair appointments since then with the intention of taking it all off, but each and every time i chickened out and cut it either to my chin or some longer version of a pixie-like hair cut. i'm just not ballsy enough to do it. i think that it would look very cute but i have some concerns

1. i dont want to look like a lesbian. if you saw a girl my age (19) with short hair, would you automatically assume she is a dyke?
2. i want to get laid. a few guys i have talked to say that fucking a girl with short hair is a almost like fucking a dude. i'm worried about that. i wanna get my fair share of booty and i have a suspicion that short hair is a turn off. so if a cute little chick like me had boy-short hair, would you still sleep with her?
3. maintenance. how long would it take for me to style my hair every morning. im used to just strepping out of the shoer and just brushing it, ive never actaully styled my hair on a regular basis.
4. if i dont like it and want it to grow back, how long would it take? what's the growing-out stage like?

Well, before I dreaded mine, I had a little past shoulder length hair. It was layered and choppy, and in the morning I would kind of just fluff it up a bit and it was fine for the day. It was great because it wasn't too short, but it was long enough where I could do stuff with it, like ponytails. I never brushed my hair and it didn't get knotty that bad, partially due to the length.

Growing is fast, I got it trimmed every two months or so.

2. How can having sex with a girl with short hair be like a dude? I guess only those guys would know eh...;) No, it's not at all. Some girls look really good with short hair. Halle Barry with short hair is sexy, very sexy. Just imagine yourself without it and decide if you think you'll look good. If you don't like it, your hair will always grow back.

3. It takes longer to maintain hair when it's longer than it is shorter.

4. It depends on how fast your hair grows back. Last time I shaved my head was in July of '04, it is now 2 years later and my hair is now down to my shoulders, and I haven't cut it since, and it looks good. in my opinion.

I like girls with long hair. I like putting my hands through their hair, but with rare occasion, there are ladies out there who look very sexy with short hair.

Just don't style it like a boys hair cut. If it's going to be short, do it girly short, not guy short. Once you get a guy haircut on a girl, then I think lesbian.

You're a girl, you'll get laid even if you are wearing nothing but a welding hat. :p

My girlfriend shaved her head once, and then just cut it really short another time....she was sexy as hell, like always.

personally i think short hair is hot on a lot of people.. but i tend to like girls who look a little bit like boys

You know what I do from the pictures. I put my fingers on the screen, and I block out most of your hair, so I can only see your face and the top of your head/hair.

Personally, I think you should keep it long. No shorter than your jaw line. That's just me though. :)

me personally, i prefer girls with long hair. short hair just doesnt attract to me for some reason.

1.it depends on how you dressed. if you dress girly enough (like shorty shorts and showing off your boobs and stuff) then you probly wont look dykeish.
2.if you like the girl, hair doesnt matter. and i dont think you want to get fucked just for your looks anyways.
3. well my heads shaved right now, but when i used to have longer hair, i never did anything to it. i always thought that only people with long hair had to care for it. just let it do it's thing, and whatever you do, dont spike it.
4. well im not sure about this one... my hair grows pretty fast i think.. i was in the same situation as "nochowderforyou"..

i shaved my head on the first of september in 2005, and then by april 20th (when i got my mohawk) it was down to my chin.
so it took me 8-9 months to grow it that long. i dont know how fast your hair grows tho...

Well ,y hair used to grow fast when I was younger, but then for years I bleached my hair, and colored it all kinds of crazy colors. Teenage thing, you know, and since then, my hair grows slower than hell. I don't mind though. :)

1. It doesn't automatically make you look dyke-ish. Looking like a dyke makes someone look dyke-ish. A lot of girls in memphis have really short hair and most of them are hotttttttttt.

What about a shorter version of what you have--like a sort of general jawline-length bob? They could give you a few layers to give it some volume and blunt cut the ends. It'd be easy to take care of and still very girlish. That strikes me as a cut that'd be very becoming on you. You have such a feminine face that I don't think you'd ever have to worry about any sort of shorter hairstyle looking dykey. Bobs are good because you can just blow-dry and go or pull your hair back with a hairband when you don't have a lot of time, but there's still plenty of hair to curl and poof out (or use accessories in) when you want to go glam.

I always study hairstyle magazines before I go in for my appointments if I'm intending to change styles. Then I show my stylist what I have in mind and she sort of adapts it to fit me. You have such a pretty face that I'm sure whatever you do will look great!

Any haircut can look good, its all about how you rock it!

Personally I'd think you'd look cute with short hair, it wouldn't work for me, and I'm in the same situation cuz its about time for me to get a hair cut

well, Im sure there are those more talented than I who could do up some serious samples of various haircuts with photoshop but you get the general idea. :)
It might make it easier to decide.
And if you truly trust the majority opinion why not pick a few options, have someone photoshop em up and put it to a vote and get the cut that gets the most votes.

oooh man, i wish girls around here looked like this, i think you should do your hair like this, and maybe die it a little bit, red streaks, then get your septom peirced, and red contacts.
