My question is directed for the ladies and i gotta ask are girls turned off by braces and have u even made out with a guy with them. Yes i know this is a retarded question but im curious and i have braces. And i know some jackass members are gonna respond with stupid ass comments but its worth seeing the helpful ones. Anyways like ur opinion ladies thx. peace
No, they are not a turnoff at all. Truly. When I was in high school, I dated guys with braces and it was fine. (Yes, I kissed them, too, and that was fine, too.) So many people had braces that it was never an issue. Any girl who's going to rule you out because of braces is a girl you don't want anyway, bascially, because she's someone who only judges on surface appearances.
As a braces wearer, you're probably already aware of this, but since food gets into them so badly, you do have to be careful to make sure they're clean by brushing your teeth after eating, especially if you intend to smile or flirt with girls. Brushing can sometimes be hard when you're in school, but dirty, goopy, food-covered braces do have turnoff potential. Most girls are very aware of guys' hygiene and areas like clean teeth/braces, good breath, good cologne, etc. So an investment in an extra toothbrush might be wise. Other than food-associated risk, I think braces are not at all a deal-breaker where attraction is concerned. Just act like you normally would and don't draw attention to them or make a big deal out of them and no one else will, either.
I know this all sounded a lot like what a mother would say, didn't it? Can't help myself. I'm the mother of a 20-year-old who once wore braces and worried about these same things. Good luck, both with orthodontia and with the young ladies!
From a guys perspective (and also from someone who had braces a looooong time ago)...just be yourself, don't let the braces make you. If you're worth talking to and being around, a girl will overlook the braces. But if you constantly remind yourself they are there, then they'll be just as noticeable to others.
And if a chick doesn't give you time just because you have braces, screw it, you probably wouldn't have liked her anyway.
I put myself in braces at age 23. I never regret it. Still had girlfriends that didnt mind.

Thats a lot of force on the teeth.
But good investment and youll be glad you did it.

I agree with calhoun...just make sure you clean your braces well. and dont get any fruity colours.
I am a woman who had braces put on a month before turning 21. I thought I would have a problem because of the braces, and back then, they were full band braces, not the glue on type. I went to this one bar and walking past the bouncer, heard his comment "Oh she's real cute cept she has braces". I turned around, walked up to him and planted a long french kiss on the guy, backed up, looked him in the face and said "See they don't get in the way do they?" He went "Oh no, not at all" with a look of dazed happiness on his face. A woman will look at the man, not the braces. Braces are temporary and actually a woman will think that man cares enough about himself to take care of his teeth. So don't worry about it. A good woman will like you for yourself, not the braces. And good going on taking care of your teeth and getting the braces to get them straightened out. It was money well spent for me and gave me a better smile, and a much better bite. And it never hindered my sex life at all. I kissed just as good as I did without them. Let me know how your do with the braces. Take care......
If you're going to make out with a girl that also has braces, be extremely careful - they can get tangled up and you'll have to go to a dentist together to get unattached.
At least that's what we heard in the street when I was young. :dance:
^ lol that will rarely ever happen.. Its just kind of an urban legend, you would really have to be hitting your teeth together hard to get them tangled. BTW I had braces for like 3 years, dated a couple girls and they didn't ever seem to mind. BUT make sure you keep your teeth clean! I guarantee you that if you get all that food gunk caught up in your braces.. It won't be good for you. So just brush em 2 or 3 times a day and rinse with water after eating anything.
I know a few girls who find braces attractive, so there. Just keep em clean really, and makeout gently.
Just think about when you take them off
your teeth will look nice :)

everyone knows braces aren't permanent, if your looking for a permanent relationship (should be the only kind you search for) then it really shouldn't matter! If your looking for a hook up though (which you shouldn't be) it's not that big of a deal.Quote:

If someone doesn't want to be with you, because you have braces. Then there not worth your fuckin time. Braces doesn't change who you are on the inside.
I personally think braces are adorable as hell, I have a huge crush on one of my guy friends basically because he has braces. I don't know, they're just so cute!
