Best yield in a limited amount of time?
From Clones: Will riding out the veg. and flowering stage to about 6 weeks EACH be a lot of a difference in YIELD from if you were to grow it for a total of 6-7 weeks, with the last 2 weeks left for flowering? Or what is the best amount of time to let the plant veg./flower before there's is diminished yield? Because Im growing for quantity and aiming to have a portionally sized bud rather than quality. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

dont cut out the last weeks of flowering buds grow biggest then

Time waits for no man time , just gos. You can not rush it 6 week strain takes 6 weeks. Now the last weeks the plant realy fill up , and the tricomes to save it little seed pods. Now as you know the tricomes are what get you high. That resin is to prevent the seed pods from drying out. So relax you can not rush muther nature. You want to get a 20-30 x microscope to look at the tricomes and THEN you know when to harvest. Change for light gray to shades of pink, they you wait for the trimmed parts to cure , then you smoke.

first off some of the earliest flowering strains take about 50 days to flower some of the longer flowering sativas could take 100 days or more to flower so how long a plant flowers for is dependent upon the strain or in hybrids or crosses you may have different phenotypes that will finsh flowering at different times so you could even say it depends on the plant the flowering time given by a seed breeder is not always accurate.
how much veg time really comes down to what style of growing you are using in a sog with 3-4 plants per sq ft you may not have any veg time and just start flowering rooted clones.
you can also veg your clones for 3 weeks and use 1 plant per sq ft just give each plant more space the longer you veg, the more space the plant will take up with the right lighting all methods will yield close to the same.
in the case of efficiency in both time and electricity usage sog is probably the most efficient as there is little to no veg time but you will have alot more plants to fill up your grow room.
if you veg clones for really long like 8 weeks to get large plants light penetration comes into play where it may require multiple lights for good coverage and to equal the same yield.

you want to flower for two weeks? or if you mean you want to stop budding two weeks early. Your buds wont be ripe, and not have nearly as much THC in them.
BTW you really dont have much control over how long a strain flowers. you can reduce the light to like 11 or 10 hours a day. it'll speed it up but reduce your yield quite a bit.
i've read some case studies of grows and for example
these are sea of greens
the first vegged for 2 weeks and got a total of 38G per plant
the second vegged for 1 week and got total of 34G per plant.
You can see that with that little vegging you dont get much per plant.
but if you've got a lot of plants its all good
----
moral of the story. sea of green is a good fast way of getting buds

There are some strains that take less than 50 days to ripen... not many, but you can find them if you hunt around. In growing as in the rest of life, time is money... you want big buds, your best tool is PATIENCE! :D
Best yield in a limited amount of time?
ya there is a few but most of those that claim to take in the upper fortys in days can often go 50 days or more so realisticly you could harvest almost any strain a week early as there really is no set time to harvest, its more personal preference at what stage you choose to harvest at.

if u flowerd wiv 12/12 light ud have an average bud, if u flowerd 10/14 ud have less yield or smaller yield rite? what if u flowered 14/10? Would u get more yield?
Best yield in a limited amount of time?
well the plants need a certain amount of darkness. Light inhibits the flowering hormone. Too much light, plant dosn't flower (we usually want this 18/6 in vegging). 14/10 might work. But it also might be flirting with the necessary inhabitation to flower properly and could result in under developed buds, or lower yield. I just speculating about the results

24/7 ok 4 veg tho? i bin told itll grow faster as 18/6 basically causes the plants to have a day of darkness a week

wrong, you plant will grow fastest with 24 hour lighting.
there is some debate as to whether it will grow 25% faster. as it is getting 25% more light
in this months Cannabis Culture Ed Rosenvelt (sp?) has an article saying that having plants in 24hour veg will increase yield from 15%-25%. And they will grow 25% faster.
I plan to open up a debate on this shortly
but there is no debate on the fastest growth(24/7), only the most efficient growth

I veg under flouros 24/7. Then when I go to flower, I go 12/12. Then, the last 2 weeks or so, when it is almost harvest time, I go to 10hrs light, 14 hrs off. This simulates the winter coming on and the buds fatten up hoping to get pollenated by a male. (which I smoke before that ever happens

big bud.... heavy indica flower is 50-60 days some sativa, ur not gonna see many flower times under 50days.
Its a myth really the 24/7 light, i would open up a debate unless you have seen both kinds of light times and have watche dthem pretty close, plants do grow on the dark periods, actually roots grow the most at night, and the plant converts co2 to oxygen at the dark times, so there are many reactions the plant is undergoing on the dark times, to think 24/7 light would robb this from the vegg stage.

. So i would stick with 20/4 or 18/16 i like 20/4 also i do keep them on 24/7 during germination and seedlings because they need a little jumpstart.

Hi
If your growing for quantity you'll need three area's.
1. for pre-growth, to put your cuttings/seedlings in.
2. a grow room ready to put plants in.
3. a drying area
Pregrow for 4-6weeks then transfer into grow room for 7 weeks flower then cut an dry in room 3
you'll have a crop every 8 weeks
