Morning-after pills are going to be available without a prescription probably within this next year sometime, but they'll only be available to girls who're 18 or older. Contrary to what some people believe, they're not abortion pills. They're just heavier doses of the same hormones that are in birth control pills. Until they become available without a prescription, a girl has to call her doctor as soon as possible after unprotected sex so the doc can call in the prescription and she can take the morning-after pill within 72 hours, preferably within the first 24.
It's important to set the record straight on a couple of things Cannabis said above that are inaccurate. Infertility after abortions is very rare and is probably no higher than 2%. And early term abortion procedures don't have a 40-day limit. The standard D&C and D&E procedures can generally be performed up to 18 weeks or so. After 16 or 18 weeks, the options do involve some type of saline or hormonal injection-initiated birth.
Hope your situation has the most positive--and here I actually mean a negative pregnancy test--outcome possible!
