Hydro is not a strain, its a way to grow weed.
my bad i know its not a strain. i guess i should have said how does the good shit compare to hydro grown weed.
o so hydro is basically just a strain souped up with w.e. they use to grow it? does that mean that there is like hydro purple haze and hydro kush?
Hydro means growing without soil just a medium like lava stone or somethen. Yes usually the really good stuff like strawberry kush and purple haze are grown hydroponically.
Hydro is does not produce more potent weed. It does produce bigger buds and has a shortened flowering time, though. Still, the only reason why hydro may, on average, be better is because it requires a more experenced grower. Soil allows more room for error, but this error can also downgrade the potency of your smoke.
Hydroponics is simply growing without soil, using a system that feeds nutrients directly to the roots.
graph is 100% right.
Purple Haze isnt even a strain... so lol!
There is no difference in potency. Soil grown weed is just as good, if not better than hydroponic grown herb. What makes a good smoke is a grower who knows what they're doing, and a good genetic, be it soil or hydro.Quote:

people need to stop thinking that Hydro is amazing pot compared to soil grown. All it is, is a fancy label for a method of growing, using water and no soil.
Comparing hydro to 'awesome stuff' doesn't make any sense. That's like comparing the assembly line method of making cars to a Ferrari. One's a method, the other's a product.
people that grow hydroponically are often smart enough to grow a good strain as well. yes it's true, groing hydro doesn't make it better but when you have some exotic strain grown hydro it =
I feel sad for people who are confused by this shitty slang. Where the hell did the term "hydro" come from to define really good smoke anyways? Alot of people I've talked to get confused because of this word when dealing with the growing method and how good the weed is..I heard some where though that hydro meaning good weed came from tetrahydrocannabinol meaning that the weed has high levels of THC..dont know but that has to be the best explination for the origination of that word with good weed lol.
It's hard to tell unless you're looking at THC% content. But generally strains are more potent then normal hydroponically grown bud. I say normal because a certain strain could've also been grown hydroponically, like I said, unless you're looking at THC content it can be hard to tell how much stronger it is.Quote:

Even when grown hydroponically, that chemical stuff can be eliminated by properly flushing your plants or just giving them water for the last 1 to 2 weeks before harvesting.Quote:
