Salvia trip...expected more

well, 4 friends and i bought 2 grams of 10x for $40, and used my friends bong to hit it. we did it in his room sitting around with no tv. we packed small bowls for each of us and i had about 2 large hits from the bong. i didnt "forget everything" right after I exhaled, but i did start to feel very cool. my body felt like something was pushing down on it, towards the ground. i basically just felt really cool and laughed a lot.

we did it 5 people, not all at once but we passed it around. we had no bad trips, and only one person who really tripped and he told us what happened and it resembled to what you guys mentioned. he said the room was like part of a giant cloth and each person was getting taken off right when they said their name. he said he was completely gone and was kinda freaking out but controlled it. another guy said he felt like he was like falling through his arms crossed over his legs. it was weird

i still have like .35 or so of what we have left of my gram. i want to try it again but smoke more of it. could i split this for two more trips, one with each of my two other friends who want to try it?

so i say i was between a 1 and a 2 on the trip scale.

Hm.. i don't know much about this drug since i haven't done it but.. hold the hits in for atleast 20 seconds each. Take bigger hits and make sure the flame is on it the whole time. Should work on you. You wanna come down to where i live and share some of that?:D

I know my first couple of experiances with it were about the same as what your talking about. Just a nice feeling different from being high but not as intense as people say. Then I bought some some 20x off of ebay and since I figured that I had done it a few time's and handled it fine I could do it alone. Just one hit off of my bong and I set back and started to count. I had my phone sitting next to me so that I could see how long it lasted but before I even exhaled I was gone just like people talk about it was like life stopped and I started switching places with people. I was sitting in my back yard and when I came out of it I was on the ground about 15 feet from where I had been sitting. I basically lost about 10 minutes when I did it that time with only a little memory of what happened. That was my experiance. Peace

You should use a torch lighter ideally, but a regular lighter should still do the trick. Try keeping the lighter on it for a while though, the whole point is that Salvia needs to be lit really hot for the desired chemical to be activated, which is why a torch lighter is often recommended (and which is why joints and blunts are not effective). But if you have to improvise, burn the hell out of it with a regular lighter, take a huge rip and hold it in for as long as humanly possible and you'll trip balls.

well i tripped again today with a sitter. this time i took a huge rip out of a bubbler and held it in for as long as i could, which wasnt short but not longer than 20 seconds.

when i exhaled i felt overcome with euphoria and i felt extremely weird. i guess i forgot that i had a lower body cause when i looked down i was surprised to see my legs, and i thought i had three of them. i layed back on my bed and then from here on i cant really explained what happened

i was like part of an assembly line on my bed, and at a certain point someone would take away that part. so like my body was getting taken apart kind of. i sat up and i felt like i was in a totally different place, and there was like blue sky everywhere. then i like launched back to where i was in my room in the weird line and i realized that i was like on a set path to move according to what i was doing it my life, and i could then freely move to different places anywhere i could think of.

overall is was pretty interesting and i think im going to experience it again sometime soon. this was 10x by the way.

The first time i intensly tripped on it, i was sitting on my bed, hitting weed, and hash oil bucket tokes. I was blitzed as hell from the pot, and oil, so i sprinkled some of my saliva (quite a bit) and dripped some oil onto the salvia bowl.

WHen i inhaled it took a minute to hit, but when it did...

I was watching television...a girl started laughing RIGHT when i started tripping... her mouth would open and would keep opening till her whole face was a mouth, then her whole face would go inside out, then revert.

I looked above the television, dark orange fog swept my room, i knew at this point was was happening, I looked down at my arm, and saw a dragons eye embedded in the back or my palm...and then looked up, and had 4 arms!!

I actually felt the other 2 arms attached to my body (but comming from my back) and i could even control these arms... at one point i realized i was just seeing like doubles, but it looked so real and felt so real. I looked at all the arms in harmony, and manifested into some 4 eyed alien dragon.

After that, i would look at my walls, and they would pulse, and wobble, and they looked like pealry white liquid. My 4 arms would get sucked into the wall, and it felt like i was travelling past my house when i got sucked in...

I would look at objects, and me attached to them by my bottom lip...

So many fucked up things, you didnt think were possible happen on salvia..

Definately a strong ass psychedelic.

Salvia's the only drug I've taken where I just flat-out can't explain the trip to anybody.

u gotta smoke more. alot more till u freak out. it wont last long 15 min or so.

get at least 20x!!

use a pipe or bong but pipe is better

take a big long toke

hold it in for 30-40 seconds

then breathe out!

I smoke 10x, still have half a gram downstairs, smoke it in a small wooden pipe, with a BIC, and I get mindfucked! You don't need a torch lighter to smoke it and that is complete BS.

I hear there is a small 10-15% range of people who don't feel the effects of salvia like everyone else does. Their bodies just don't react to it, like some smoking cannabis. Some people just can't get high.

I take big pipe rips, hold for a good 10seconds and by the third rip I am *gone*, using a BIC lighter.

yeah ive done it three times and it's always to weird to explain afterwards. I have half a gram of 10x but i dont even know if ill ever use it

what exactly is it? where do I find it? how expensive is it? sorry for the dumb questions, I'm just really curious about this stuff

It's a plant called Salvia Divinorum. Read on erowid about it and the links Dutch Masta provided up top.

I can describe it as being much more intense than any acid I've taken. Luckily, it only lasts for a good 10min or so.

It is very intense, and I don't think size and body weight has anything to do with it. I'm 6'3, 220lbs, I'm a big guy, and 3 pipe rips of 10x fucks...me...up.

Sometimes you can buy it at your local headshop. Prices vary, but it is expensive. For a gram of 10x, I paid $30, and for a gram of 20x, it's $60. Prices maybe a little lower or higher.

Just don't buy the leaf. Buy the extract as smoking the leaf alone does nothing.

If you can't find it at a headshop, shop the interent, google it. You'll find tons of sites to buy it from.

For two grams of 10x, like $35 from www.iamshaman.com I am waiting for it..going to have fun with it.

And actually, I just received my salvia...I placed the order on the morning of the 11th and got it today in the mail...that's not bad. I'll let you guys know how the stuff was later on this evening.

I must say, it is really fucking good.

Smoked probably a half a gram or so over two smoking sessions with it tonight, pretty crazy and interesting shit that salvia can produce for you. I enjoy it.

Damn now im really wanting to do salvia again from this thread. My first time tripping on it was kinda crazy but it wasnt too intense and i still had a lot of control. (we smoked it 2 times earlier but only got buzzed, we also smoked weed)
I remember looking at one end of my room and it would zoom away from me and it was like only my room existed surrounded by black space. I tried to talk to my friend who hit the 10x after me and he began to turn pale. Then to my horror i noticed that white worms were squiggling all over his skin and it was a little to much for me so i told him I was gonna lay down for a bit.

After that i put on my ipod phones and it felt like my whole body was being pulled into the bed by worms or snakes that kept wiggling down into the mattres. I then kept my eyes closed and and saw many patterns that turned into like a visulizer for the music and i just flew through the patterns until it wore off.
We did it again later that night but my friend i guess was tripping out to much and everytime he talked he would yell and it was past 2 with my mom home. This was tripping me out and whenever i would tell him to shutup and tell him to whisper he would yell back that he was whispering and being quiet. lol, it went on and on with me telling him to be quiet and him yelling back so it was just a waste.
It's funny to look back on that night though and I want to get some gnarly like 40x and trip away.

I read a bunch of stuff on erowid about saliva then bought 4 grams of 5x for like 20$ from my local head store. I smoked it in a bong with a butane lighter held it in for ages. but the effect was nothing like what i read, i conclude it must of been too weak or something

The more powerful the extract is that you're smoking is going to decide the intensity of your trip.

Wow, Salvia sounds crazy... Have any of you ever experienced what it said on erowid about thinking your something else (like paint on the wall) for years? I know the trip is only 10 minutes or so but erowid says it can feel like a lifetime. I would hate that and is the biggest reason why I would stay off of it.
