A different kind of living
I am thinking somewhere around Montana
I should have enough cash saved in the next 4 years
Here is my plan...
Build a nice house very close to a stream/river
It will be powered by solar/wind power
I will have a wood burning stove and fireplace
During the spring/summer I will have a huge garden with alot of vegetables
Also a nice crop of Mary Jane
I will have a few guns just for protection or the occasional hunt
for meat I will mostly fish in the nearby river (fly-fishing)
also lots of wood gathering in the summer for the winter for my fireplace and my wood buring sauna.
I am in continuous planning. I hope to buy the land by next summer
No more city living for me. I am burnt out on smog, traffic and interaction with stupid people.
any more ideas?

My idea is for you to invite a few nice folks up there to join you on occasion . . . maybe a new friend from Texas?
Your plan sounds awesome!

Yes, you should invite your Canna-buddies up there for one big toking party.
Followed by a swim in the river!

You haven't been here in a while! I've missed you.
She's not doing too well, I'm afraid, but thank you for asking after her. The disease has been picking up speed, and we learned on Thursday that she has "seeding" (little sprinkles of new cancer) in her brain as well as tumor growth all over her abdomen. The hospice service starts coming on August 1. Her cancer doc wrote on the hospice information form that he estimates four months or less.
My heart is breaking. But then it has been this whole time. Hope everyone who feels like it will send positive thoughts and prayers. We can use 'em.
Hugs to you, Geonagual! And to all of you nice folks. Make sure you tell the folks you care about that you love them deeply.

Awww, Bird, I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I know I haven't heard about it more, but from that it sounds like you're going through a tough time. Keep strong, girl. When the time comes, then you'll know she's out of pain.
Hugs x738743. :)

Thanks, Zeebo. Appreciate the kind words and the multiplied hugs. I'm trying to stay strong so I can help her, but it's hard some days. This is one of the rough ones. Sundays are for some reason the hardest.

if youre an older guy it sounds tight but if youre younger you might get bored pretty fast, just dont get too removed or isolated of a place or itll get lonely

haha, Montana sucks, why in the hell would you want to move there? Are you 60 years old or something?

I could really go for that. I would have to have Internet and TV though...
I just need a TV for the World Cup and Oplympics and Elections and 9/11 and stuff.

its a SICK idea and id LOVE to try it, but i think id get bored. i need SOME interaction. if it were me and a wife or like 3 friends i would absolutely do that. especially if i were like within driving distance from a town for emergencies and other essential supplies

sounds like a good plan dude but solar power is bogus and operating a wind mill can cost you bundles, not to mention the hundreds of the thousands it costs to build a decent one [or so i am told]

Wow... Either this is a stoner-phenomenon only, or the world won't have any land left by the time I save up enough money...
This seems to be everybodies plan, including mine...
I even say montana when I tell a friend..
Peaceful, secluded, happy. Grow enough weed to smoke at every meal, play guitar in a rocking chair in the backyard to relax, and in a short walk... go fishing in beautiful trout laden river while puffin' a pipe...
Freedom will have never tasted so sweet. :)

sounds like an excellent plan, i would like to do it somewhere myself maybe not in america though maybe like the japanese countryside like you see on films looks so serene..they seem to have a very high respect for nature as well

My hopes are that your dreams become reality. Dream BIG!
dai*ma:stoned: sfca
Dont forget to take a guitar along with you, or a banjo, or a harmonica, etc etc
And dont forget to blow-up your tv
Throw away your paper
move to the country
build you that home
plant a lil cannabis
eat a lot of peaches
and try to find yourself
in this world:thumbsup:
