on friday the school i go to searched me cuz of the way i look which is unconstitutional but anyway they found my beautiful glass bowl and an eighth of weed and rolling papers i got expelled ive been talking to my parents about it and i cant explain it to them that weed is not bad i tell them but its so hard to word it they have been brainwashed or something "weed kills u" i cant stand when ppl say that i have to see a drug couselor and she acts like ijm on heroin shes always tellin me how i got to stop my "addiction" haha
anyway do u guys have a way i could use to show my parents the truth like a website or something like that? thanks

Depends on how your parents are, my parents even though they are hypocrites cuz they use to do it still think its bad. And well my parents they belive that because they are the parents w/e they say is right and ur not gonna change their mind just stubborness i wish i could help ya. and for what happened to you is the exact reason i leave all my stuff at home

ddue the same thing happend to me eitrlier this year ... my parents were like you really shouldnt do that and shiootttt.... so i looked up a whole bunch of facts about marijunana and how theres never been an overdose and compare marijuana to alchohal and it kinda helped they got off my back .......so good luck man

when i 1st started smokin my mum was the same all i said was theres loads of drugs out there worse than weed tht i could be doin as for info for ur parents theres loads but whether they will believe it or not is a different stroy. ive heard ppl say them ppl would say its ok they use it themselves good luck with ya dilemma man

It's too late for that. You already screwed up. You see, it's not whether weed is good or bad at all. Did you forget that marijuana is illegal??? You messed up by bringing an illegal substance to school. Same as if you brought any other illegal substance to school. It doesn't matter what your argument is. The law is the law.

yeah, sorry bud but it bringing it to school was just stupid. If they woulda searched you just because of the way you look and found nothing, you wouldent have this problem right? And maybe, just maybe, they searched you because you stank of herbal refreshment eh? ;)

if teachers tried to search kids over here theyd be charged with assault, and the next day in the paper itd say "TEACHER ARRESTED FOR MOLESTING STUDENT" then all the parents would go nuts and force the school to fire them and make it school policy for teachers not to be allowed within 2 metres of anyway student, and have to teach from inside a big giant bubble :eek:

i brought it to school cuz i was ridin my friends bus home and we were gonna smoke they put my bowl and weed into like a silver bag and sealed it i kinda convinced them that there is worse things than smoking weed but they are still on my ass about everthing thanks everyone

I just got suspended form school because of weed. Read my thread. It might help.

I was smoking after school and a teacher saw me. I still got suspended. And i wasnt even on school property.

If you are trying to help your parents understand, you need to be informed. You need to know facts and sound smart about it. Also tell them you have no intrest in other drugs and that you have been offered them but refused. It told my grandma that and that made her a little more understanding.

I almost got expelled. I got it down to suspension for the rest of the year

"weed" rules are hardly relaxed in school to my knowledge in the uk.
I know one person that got suspended and another that got expelled for having it at school.
The school is allowed to do a locker search no problem, however if they really wanted to do a search, they aren't legally allowed to, they have to get the old bill in.

Then again, it's swings and roundabouts, this is quite a few years back, and what with it going down to c class maybe so, also, how would they justify a search, unless the kid was a punk and got caught (which they both did)

Personal responsibility is a big issue for me , after spending time in one of her majestys lovely homes for wayward people (prison) I came to the conclusion that more than half of the sods in there refused to accept that it was thier actions that got them locked down in the first place..

But kids are naturaly dumb and to be honest pot certainly doesn't help you think clearly, stupid mistakes are a learning process.

Get used to people who believe what you are doing is wasting your life (they are entitled to think what they want), get used to getting shit if you break the law, get used to dealing with your own crap and accepting that it's often if not always your responsibility to accept the consequences of your actions.

Oh no worries then. But for the kids in school. It is not worth getting expelled for something as stupid as having cannabis on you. Smoke when you get home, but don't take your bud to school. Yeah we all know how stupid cannabis laws are, but it is still illegal for now. You may get away with it for a while or you may not even get caught, but you never know the future. Why take that chance of getting caught? Keep your bud safe at home.

I'm in my 40's. I've got three kids, a son who is 23 and two daughters 18 and 16. I went to high school back in the late 70's and used to carry a just-in-case joint in my wallet to school every day. That was before they taught dogs to sniff it out and before there'd ever been a school shooting. They searched lockers only if they thought someone was selling, Even then it was just that one locker.

Your age is on your side here. If you're under 18 then you'll be treated almost as if you aren't old enough to know better. Everything they throw at you is a lesson, not a punishment. I know it feels like punishment. Once you hit 18 they won't cut you any slack at all.

You and I both know that the law has some lessons to learn for itself. With 2 million people in prison, half of them for what most of us here consider victimless crimes, this entire government obviously misinterpreted the constitution that our old buddy, author of that constitution and hemp grower extraordinaire Thomas Jefferson tried to teach them. That what you do with your own mind is nobody else's business.

Ah, but it's your parent's business if they're good parents at all. Sure, they probably smoked weed in their day. Like me they might even have friends or family who got so burned out on it they don't want you to go down the same path. My kids have always used my brother as an example of what not to become. They guy has done (and still does) every drug there is. He isn't going to last long and his only quality of life is in his head. He can't afford anything because he really just won't get off his butt and do anything. He's 50 and works at a place where he stacks molding strips, lives in a hotel, ignores his grown kids because he's embarassed, and has actually dragged some of his friends (who make a living dealing and stealing) to my 75 year old mother's house to meet the parents. Bad move. That pissed us off royally. He has lost all sense of discretion. He's also a drinker and (we found out when he was in ICU for a different problem) he's suffered heart attacks during crack binges. They almost couldn't bring him out of anesthesia because of the scars on his heart.

I don't want to sound like I'm lecturing here, because I'm not. This is really personal shit. But I can't even begin to tell you how many decisions a person has to make in a day. As far as this society is concerned, being successful in family and in business just means you can make a lot of decisions and most of them (not all) turn out for the better. If you don't have a sober moment in a day when you can see all sides of a situation then most of those decisions, big and small, probably won't be well considered. As lovely as it is, pot, weed, whatever draws you inside yourself and expands your senses. It enhances how you see the world, but it removes your ability to perceive how the world sees you or your actions. You know that "Can they tell I'm stoned?" feeling. This is key. If you can't sense what other people think or feel then it makes those decisions one-sided and pretty selfish. After years of making decisions everyone points out are wrong you begin to feel like "what the fuck, why try?" That's my brother to a tee.

My whole family blames the way my brother is on pot. I do too, in part. I say that because ANYTHING in excess is probably not a good thing. Weed, like alcohol, is a recreational experience. You can't spend your entire life at an amusement park and expect anything of lasting value to come of it. Fun only lasts as long as fun lasts. Fun is a way to blow off steam. Amusement parks exist, and should exist, to help us all.

I believe, because of all this, your parents aren't going to listen. They probably know that pot isn't physically harmful. Maybe every other weekend when life gets rough they take a trip to the old amusement park themselves. That's nobody's business but their own, and that's the boat I'm in. But they want you to be able to master the future that lies in front of you. Since you're under 18 then Screw the legal part of the whole situation. If you can't see what they're feeling for you then it's probably because you're stoned.

I mean no offense to all you good souls out there. This is just the way I see it.

There are those out there that would tell you there is a law against MJ possesion, but they are wrong. Terry Parker is a very sick epileptic that fought in the courts that the CDSA was uncondtitutional. On Aug 1, 2001 he won his case. They don't argue that the law died that dAy, they say the courts brought it back to life though. Only parliament can create a new law or bring back a dead law...They have been hiding this fact by still laying charges on people....most likely an attempt to prevent a free for all.
We don't condone use at school or anything like that, but the fact is MJ is a safer way to treat alot of illnesses. Without it Terry would surely have died from one of his many ceisures he has every day.

But this is not about the current laws or what parents think about cannabis. School have their own laws and policies. I am against all cannabis laws, but the fact is that it is a controlled substance and you kids must still treat it that way. We all know you did nothing wrong at all, but the damn law doesn't. You are treated like a criminal for disobeying unjust laws. If you put yourself in a situation where it is likely you will get caught, then don't complain when you do. Take precautions or make plans to avoid situations like that. Your situation is very unfortunate LearyS Disciple, but no matter how ridiculous the laws are, they are still laws for now. Hopefully not for too much longer.

MJ is also a preventative medicine...cancer etc...They will still charge you for possesion so you must be prepared if you chose to snoke. They've been illegally arresting people for almost 3 years now, but not for much longer, trust us when we say that....The law died for everyone, not just the sick & that will be proven in the next few months. LearyS Disciple seemed to be more upset at the fact his parents were so pot - a - phobic & we thought this info might get them off his back

that's strange...in my school u can smoke up in the bathrooms or outside right by the trailers (overcrowdedness) and teachers usually don't care. not to mention there's a dealer at practically ever lunch table selling the shit. lol my school is just very lenient i guess. the cops do circle around the school every now and then, though. but that's pretty much it. my middle school, though was much stricter.

Here's what you MUST do:

It's not gonna be easy, but at least they'll think that you are mature enough to approach this in an adult fashion, rather than rebel and turn into an asshole lol - that won't help anyone, least of all you.
