so i'm gonna make my second homemade bong out of a Jolt cola can ( http://www.bevnet.com/images/reviews/jolt/jolt-cola.jpg ). How should I go about cutting a hole in the side of it (where the O is) for a slide? i really want to make it my friend and i thought of the idea when i bought one, the opening is perfect, IMO. thanks in advance guys, peace bros

is the metal used sturdy on that, its not like a coke can right?
if its just a can then u can just make a hole with a knife. cans are fine for desperate situations but u should try to make one out of something better such as a glass bottle or something. they are actually alot easier then u may think to make.
get a rubber sealing thingy (59 cents from everyonedoesit.com)
make a round hol with a round pencil around the size of the rubber thing
put rubber thing in hole
put stem in
put slide in
its about as sturdy as a coke can, maybe a little more because it's bigger. i dont have a glass drill for a glass bong, so i cant make that. i just thought it would be cool to make it out of this jolt can haha. im gonna have to go to ace hardware to buy something for a bowl

i made the sickest pipe ever with a monster can exactly like that, i used the top peice and i glued it to the shaft of the can and i used it as the bowl, and it's like there is a lil mouth peice to it and stuff, it was sick

i wouldnt use the mesh from a window, it will burn and the fumes probably arent great. i head sink mesh is pretty good tho

but really, the bottom line is that putting that in there is absolutely useless on a few levels.. first of all cops don't look at this site, no matter what any one says, so there is no point in saying something that we all know is not true. second of all cops dont give a shit what a bunch of potheads have to say... if anything they're gonna go to the grow forum or something (but thats if they even ventured on to this site which i HIGHLY DOUBT is happening).

Well, Shrooms, let me help you since others think you're ruining your body.
For the downtube, try finding something metal. Go buy a cheapie metal pen, that'd work. The socket's great for the bowl and the window screen is an okay screen, but if I were you I'd hold it over a flame for a 30 seconds or so and see if any fumes come off. If they do, rinse it off and do it again, if you get fumes the second time, you need a different something to use as a screen. Faucet screens are good...balled up metal twist-ties with the paper burned off are good...be creative! lol
I like the O-ring idea for the carb. Very shagadelic, man. The only problem is a mouthpiece. Try taking some wire cutters or tin shears and taking the lip off the can, then maybe your lips can make a seal over the hole that you once drank out of? If that doesn't work, shear the very top off the can and -THIS IS IMPORTANT!- put something rubber over the edge of that. If not, the thin tin could easily cut your face up...not a good thing in a bong.

The jolt can is designed where it has a metal twist off top, with smooth rounded over edges, which is very comfortable to put your mouth on.
