Ok im going to be upfront about this i know there is probably no chance im going to be a mod here looks like there is enough anyway.

What about baked.com??

I've recently started posting there and i dont even think there are any mods who go on there and if there is they dont go on regularly?

Who runs or owns that site because i have no idea

I would like to ask if i could become a mod there, to whoever makes the decision there is so much flaming going on there and i would love to sort it all out.

I dont want baked.com to just be a place where all the people who get banned from this website go to flame each other, I also have a totally clean record and i have never been banned either here or in baked.com or any other forum for that matter.

What do you think? :)

I would also be interested in becoming a moderator. I've grown up on the computer and internet forums, so I think I would be a good candidate for the position. I'll send you my resume , a letter of interest, and even draw you a nice picture of ... something. any takers?

I doubt they would let you become one or me for that matter :)

It was out of the blue....one of the mods asked if I would meet them in chat, I thought I was in for a lil' talk to tell ya the truth. Me and another member from politics were going at it hard and heavy.........LOL...I thought I was in for a spanking!!!

Hahahah... I remember reading that thread. Then a few days later everyone started talking about a mod. I just sat there and went aaaaaah psycho4bud.

The difference is big though. I think that cannabis campbell and billionfold have both done remarkable jobs cleaning the site and helping out when they can. However, both psycho4bud and bobbong were both passionate about the cannabis community. I feel sometimes both Campbell and Billionfold hold back on their true opinions because it's the "right" thing to do. However, the ONLY reason I'm able to respect psycho4bud is because he was never afraid to entirely speak his mind and argue with anyone, in a dignified manner, who felt like calling him out. BobBong had a long history here and had definitely connected with many members here before he became a mod, including myself.

And when he had the pink floyd avatar, I never thought he would be a fan of the beverly hillbillies. I'm not a big fan of pink floyd, but simmin pools and movie stars!

I'm surprised Cannabis Campbell isn't a MOD.

It's easy to be a moderator , it doesn't take too many brains... it's very easy to be diplomatic in text on a computer (i'm comfortable with it)... if you know the rules of the website and understand the topic well enough, I think anybody can make a good moderator.

Thanks Graph, but thats not at all true i always give my honest opinion on anything regardless of weather people agree with it or not and i try to help out in any situation.

The only time where i wouldn't say anything (like billionfold) is if i think it would cause a flamewar or something which is no good so i just dont say anything

But i would never say something which i dont agree with just because i think its the 'right' thing to do. :thumbsup:

Well no i dont think that because i have a clean record but its something that i could use to my advantage, its a better chance than not having a clean record, i just think baked.com needs some mods and i thought i would ask here because i thought that the owner or mods here would have the authority to make me one over there.

I do know why i want to be mod over there its because the forums just need a few mods and i think i would be able to do a good job, but it probably wont happen anyway lol so lets just let this thread DIE!, lol:D

:o Well its interesting to see how many ppl out there want to become MODS. I MOD here and can also do baked.com, but with what goes on in there I tend to stay away.:stoned:

To become a MOD has nothing to do with voting or popularity among other members, I was made a MOD because of my attitude and I also put other members names forward for MODDING, as I did with Surreys_Princess and Pycho4Bud.:thumbsup:

:rasta: MODDING here is no walk in the gardens, to be honest with you before I was made MOD I really had no idea how to even use a computer, and there are members out there that can vouch for that....lol.

I have learnt alot here and I continue to learn everytime I am here. :thumbsup:

Its really hard to pin point any one reason why a MOD is put into that position that they have here, but I know frist hand that you need to be able to look at things from all angles before doing anything. This site is worldwide so there is no way that all people are going to see things the same way, but as a MOD you do need to be able look at things outside the square.:thumbsup:

I think keeping threads from getting out of hand and treating everyone fairly are the most important things a mod can do.
I don't think you need to be a grower as a grower and a mod are two different animals. Knowledge of the board is a big plus. You should be able to point someone in the right direction when the have a question.

I agree with Kiwi, its worldwide so you really have to be impartial, which is something im not, so even though i'd like to be a MOD i dont think i'd be suitable sadly.
