Back in the day, I used to listen to .MOD files/music. It was/is music that was generated completely by computer using another application. Basically, you collected 'instrument' files to get your sounds and then arranged the sounds and notes in a pattern to produce the music. Some of it was real trippy stuff. Alot of it was the prelude to what you hear in the clubs today.
I haven't kept up with that scene in years. Too old to listen to it now...now it's just 'noise'. LOL. But if you google for 'traxxx .mod', you should be able to come upon some sites with some tracks to listen to.
Nah, not me anymore. Although I still have a few of my older CD's when I did listen to it. One is called "Industrial Fucking Strength" and the other one is called "AcidMix" or something. Both are heavy techno music. Real hard thumping beats.

Have any of you guys ever heard of 303Infinity? Try them out, they're the best electronica/rave/techno whatever group I've ever heard. I like them even better than Infected Mushroom!
Yeah i love it :)
Infected Mushroom, DJ Tiesto, DJ Sammy...........I like a lot of techno but I wouldnt pick it as top choice of course. Depends on my mood. Techno is good rolling music :).
Have any of you guys ever heard of real music? Bob Marley, Aerosmith, Muse, Morrissey, Tenacious D, John Legend?Quote:

Listen to Juno Reactor and Shpongle it will move the boundaries of electronic music for you. trust me
The only electronic music I have properly listened to is
Aphex Twin
Infected Mushroom
and Velvet Acid Christ
tronic music(mostly progressive trance, acid trance, goa, psychedelic sounds,d&b,...) is a very simple invention, even it is not a music in my book.
Moooooooooby! I'm still kind of attached to his first CD.
Electronic music is my favorite genre.
The lack of lyrics puts a lot of people off. These people also don't/can't/won't appreciate classical music.
What those same people fail to realize is that this music can move you like no other.
No one has been compared to Mozart before, but this genre can bring out that type of a genius due to it's unlimited sound spectrum.
My favorite is 1.8.7 now known as Jordana. It's drum and bass with a funky uptempo sound. Check out the cd Quality Rollz.Quote:

Haha...saw this thread pop-up again and just wanted to say I had a great night last night at the club listening to some good old electronic music. :smokin:
It was almost like...how to say? --- Ecstasy! ;)
Speaking of, have y'all heard that song Ecstasy by Tiesto I think it is. I don't know why but I just had a major flashback of that voice saying, "Ecstasyyyyyy...." and then it goes all, "Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-nuh-nuh-nuh-ne". You know?
Oh, and could anyine possibly help me out here? I am trying to figure out the name of a song I heard at the club last night...All I can remember is that it kept repeating the phrases, "Always telling lies" and "It's such a beautiful dress that you wear". Sounded very Eighties, but I can't quite put my finger on it. :smokin:
the last time i tripped on acid we listend to this song "don't laugh" or "try not to laugh" ??? or somthing. was techno, but the vocal loop was these laughs. by the end of the song we were all laughing so hard i had to crawl to the radio to shut it off.
yes electronic music goes great with E! have you found your extacy?
You know it man! ;)  :D :dance:Quote:
