ok so im officially quittin cigarettes.. its been 18 hours since my last one.. im chewing NQuitin Lozenges, and biting my nails off... its only been half a day and i cant stand it haha also, im not gonna smoke weed for 12 weeks until ive quit ciggies, so wish me luck :(

the "no meat thingy" is going good, lol, its been about 20 days so far :D but the 'no ciggies thing' is gona be alot harder
Quitting cig's is really hard and I really do wish you the best of luck with it. :)
Just remember that once you have quit that it HAS to be forever.
You won't be able to have the odd fag here and there cos it will only lead back to addiction.
Dont blame yourself if you get a bit ratty over it it's only natural.
And remember to keep yourself busy. How much were you on a day and 4 how long?

dude, its great that your giving up the cancer sticks. I smoked em for about a year, then quit cold turkey cause I realized it was a waste of money. I'd rather smoke to get high, ya know what I'm saying?
In my rather humble opinion, I think you should lay off the nicotine period. You might hate the world for a week, but then you will be free. And like someone else said, quiting is forever. Its not like taking a vacation from blazing cause you need to pass a test. Never touch a cig again bro. You'll be better off for it. And you'll have a grip more cash if you really smoke like 30 of them f**kers again. ANd hell, your throat will clear up pretty good if you don't smoke anything for 12 weeks! No more phlem (I know every smokers got it!) ;)
remember, you are in the drivers seat. some chemical concoction shouldent be ruling your life :cool:

All you have to realise, is that it is a HABIT and not a NEED. Think about it.
I smoke, but they tend to always be joints, so I don't wanna quit, cos I need to be stoned to 'survive' lol.
But I did quit cigarettes (used to smoke 20+ a day), and that was easy. I just realise that I was smoking out of habit - wake up, spark up..eat something, spark up....do something, spark up - I didn't even enjoy it!
And being a truck driver was even worse - I would literally chain-smoke out of boredom.
You'll do it if you want to, dude - if you don't want to, you won't.
It's just a habit, there is no addiction - only routine.
I agree with Bro - don't bother with the nicotine gum etc, they don't do anything

You wont get ratty with the world because of withdrawl symptoms - there wont be any.
It is a myth designed to keep you hooked - trust me, it's all programed into your subconscious - just learn to identify it and see it for what it is.
Everytime you feel like you are tensing up and 'think' that you need a cigarette, think to yourself - "I do not NEED a ciggie....what possible benefit am I getting from it?....cancer?....emphasemia?"

hey ghostoker i worked with a guy who smoked for 30 years(like 20 a day)he went to a hypnotist to stop smoking which he payed £35 for,once he woke up he said he couldnt remember ever smoking in his life and has never went back to cigs since(about a year ago)
i reckon if some1 was seriously wanting to quit then this could be the route to take although ive thought about doin it myself it made me think if id forget ever smoking weed!!!!and wouldnt want that :D
but for £35 you would make your money back on cigs in a week if your payin nearly a fiver for 20 a day and just tell the hypnotists you dont wanna forget the weed lol ;)
also 1 of my m8s went to a chinese thereapist in which they tape little steel balls in your ear just where the little lob is just beside your temple and whenever you get the urge for a ciggarette you would push on these balls and he said it was like the craving would just drain out you from your head to your toes and after a week or so they are removed and he said there was no looking back,even in hard situations like bein at the pub with u m8s and havin a drink when you really begin to crack and need a cig,he said there was no probs and it only cost £25

GOOD LUCK matey. I smoked for 11yrs and quit cold turkey about a yr ago and I still get a couple of cravings here and there, its not what you think it'll be. The hardest thing for me was the smoking fags and drinking lager, yum yum the finest combination. But 1 thing you gotta remember is to quit smokin them joints, otherwise you're still smoking the fags but without the filter (even worse), therefor your still supplying the nicotene to your body = more cravings.Quote:
