Someone posted a confusing thread recently that is a very bad idea.
About keeping males to grow outside.
The person who posted this doesn't know what he's talking about.
Kill your males like everyone has been doing for years.

Lol your so violent. But yeah, marijuana cultivation is going on all across the world. America has 50 states. In one country they say there is over 800,000 people growing marijuana. For all those people atleast 1/4 still grow from seed and not clones. And half of them are probably breeders. This being said there is way too many growers across the globe for marijuana to ever die out so theres no need to plant males outdoors and hoping to "re-populate" the wild with plants.
would be nice to see mj lining the expressways again however.........

its a nice thought , that is how it should be ,growing wild in the countryside,
but if it starts happening
the police might start thinking that they have to work harder to combat the drug problem making it more dificult for us
not the kind of publicity we need really
maybe if it ever gets lagalised it could be done it would be good to see ganja growing in the wild again

I wasn't trying to be a dickhead and ruin anybody's females, but I just like to exeriment and grow wild plants. I have always puffed commercial bud with seeds and it's not that bad.
Sorry if I mislead anybody into growing males in their yard where it can pollinate a neighbor's KBs. I usually grow somewhere in the woods - I just don't bother to pull out the males.

What if that person ruined his crop because of your bad idea.
Having weed growing wild would be awsome of course.
But it wont happen.
It depends on your definition of "ruining" the crop. Some growers don't care if they get seeded females. I, personaly am a breeder so I keep males, but isolate them.
Actualy, I once grew a crop leaving the males as is and I had seedy weed. It got me just as high as when I isolated and leave seedless, it just had seeds.
Of course if your making weed for commercial sale you wouldn't even be asking the question of whether to keep males or not....
Alot of weed I get around town here in south dakota and in Cali the bud always has seeds. I know its probably from mexico or wherever, but the only time I get a bag and no seeds are in it is if I buy sum KB.
Not a bad idea...but the main idea is....GROW WEED NOT SEED...
I don't want to buy seeds (security/cost) and I want to grow guerilla next year so I need $h1tloads of seeds.
Some of us are doing it on purpose you know ;)
I just got my seeds in the mail today from Gypsy. Papaya and Bubblicious!
On a Different grow site, many peolpe keep the males outside or in a different room to collect pollen and get seeds from the buds on the bottom of the plants when pollenated. On my second grow, If i get a male, I will also be collecting pollen to get seeds. The seeds only grow on whichever flowers you put them on. You can get like 50 plus seeds easily from the bottom of your plants. If I pay for seeds ( $15 plus for 10 seeds ) and can get 5x more easily, its a no brainer. Do it :thumbsup: . Just look up how to greed seeds and maybe even cross strains and make your on super plant and you can name it :p . Funny shit....
I'm talkin about seeding someone elses sensimilla crop.
And it can ruin it.
By giving you more seeds then bud.,
Each seed is that much less weed you get to smoke.
And I understand breeding and keeping males for polline.
But thats not what we are talking about.
I'm talking about kids who don't read and grow with no knowledge and seed other peoples crops.
Is it that hard to understand.

I'm about to start breeding and keeping males myself.
But I will keep them isolated and not outside to pollinate other peoples crops that don't want seeds.
I guess I should have said..."Kill your males if your not a breeder."
dont worrie we hear you jdogg. DONT GROW MALES IF YOU ARENT A BREEDER . as its a bad idea and could fuck up someone elses crop. i personaly keep our males in their own grow box and my exaust fan has a micron filter attached to stop pollen being dispersed out into the open and when we last changed filters we had pollen from 8 diffrent strains clogged up in it but better than messing up a freinds outdoor crop 2 gardens down . the thing is we dont know what our neighbours get up to and would you like it if your outdoor crop got seeded by some newbie grower down the street (dont think so) later be safe the postman.
