Read and learn.
You will probably be very disappointed growing in a window.
will it still grow

Having your plants on the window sil is not the same as having the plant directly under the sun outdoors. Your plant will stretch to hell and probably fall over, IF it even gets that far. If you can't afford an HID, then invest in some cheap CFL's that you can buy at Home Depot.
If you do decide to try the window method, and by a miracle of God it lasts the 3 or 4 months (thats how long it will take to get some bud)....you might get a joint or 2....tops....sorry champ.
and pothead is right...its too late in the season to even grow outdoors...the timing's all off.
i been growin dis shit 4 a month know though and its at least 10 inches know
they are stretching ... just go buy some flouros if you wanna do it cheap like under 20 bucks for a ballast and a tube
I've been window growing and my plants are very strong..... If you have the right window and it's big enough and you rotate the plants they will grow just fine...... The glass will actually amplify the light intensity and thus give you more sustain in a shorter amount of sunlight..... plants will grow anywhere, they just might not grow to their full potential..... you probably won't get 6-foot plants growing in a window but I've seen people get very nice 3-4 footers with solid yield from a window grow......
Ya....I put mine under the window for a couple of days during vacation and the thing stretched to hell :( But I pruned it before I left so lots of leaves formed on the bottom :)
Yup, if you had been there to rotate it every day or even twice a day you can control the "stretch" into a "grow" no problem......Quote:

I once knew a guy who grew on the window sill of a picture window that he tinted so you could not see inside. Everyone said it would not work very well.... truth be told it did NOT work well in the eyes of some people, but he ended up with about five plants that grew to between two and four feet tall. They did not produce to their potential perhaps, but he ended up with a few OZs of some very tasty stuff..........
I guess it all depends on your perspective and desired intentions.......
