Last night, I went to a party about a half hour north of me in Loveland, Co. It was a huge-ass bluegrass/rock jam fest where I knew EVERYONE would smoke weed. They had a stage with many acts lined up, and I opened solo on my bass. It was cool, people loved me, whatever. I was chilling with my friends Ethan, Matt, and Scott, who are all very cool people. Ethan and Matt don't smoke, but Scott does. So I turn to Scott at around 8:30pm and mention I have a 1/4 of mids and my pipe, and ask him if he wants to toke it up. Well, Matt and Ethan decide to be asshats and forbid Scott from smoking. That pissed me off ripe, and we got into a verbal fight about it. Everntually, Matt gave up and left, all pissed at me.
So, of course, me and Scott find like 10 other hippies and leave the party for the park across where we discover..... more hippies already smoking! Our circle is 25 people strong with 6 pipes going around, muck jovial talk, everyone's having a righteous time. That's when Matt and Ethan decide to show up and get insanely pissed. They start complaining, mainly to Scott, and then take off. Me and Scott were completely destroyed at that point, having been smoking for about half an hour already. So bitch-ass Matt decides that the correct course of action is to tell his fucking mom that me and Scott are off smoking weed. So his mom (a former stoner) walks over and tells me to call my dad and come pick me up. Yeah, like I'm going to call my born-again-Christian-Bush-voting-conservative dad and have him get me while I'm stoned. I beg his mom for a compromise, and she tells me to talk to Matt. So we do, and lo and behold, 15 minutes later, Matt and Ethan are tag lecturing us tag-team style with charisma that would have made a DARE officer proud. This leads to Scott freaking out and collapsing on the ground in tears, sobbing "I didn't know you guys cared so much!" over and over again, while I stand and feel confused. I didn't realize that they cared either, but Matt keeps rambling on about how drugs killed Kurt Cobain and Bradley Nowell, and Ethan keeps talking about how his mom would smoke weed and his dad would beat her. After about a half hour of this bullshit, I realize that nothing that Matt and Ethan are talking about pertains to the subject at hand whatsoever. I didn't say anything though.
So finally everyone calms down, Scott stops crying and Ethan stops threatening to punch me. We're sitting at a park bench and I'm wondering, "What the fuck else could go wrong here?" when, OF COURSE, here comes our good freind Officer Gary-Bussey Look Alike. He pulls up and does that cocky-ass split-second bwEEP on his siren and gets out. We exchange a few words, standard cop shit, 'are you drunk?' 'no, sir, we're not drunk', 'are you high?' 'no, sir, we're not high'. So he gets our names and d.o.b.s and starts radioing us in. Meanwhile, I begin to panic - I have a warrent in Texas for possession of shrooms!
Fortunately, he didn't find that out, and bade us a good night. The story has a happy ending, though; Matt forgave us and we got to stay. and i snuck out after matt and ethe went to bed and smoked more!
