WOAH!! for reals??
The kitten was born Wednesday with two mouths that meow in unison, two noses, and four eyes that haven't opened yet.
Two other kittens were born in the same litter, but this was the only one born with two faces.
Dr. Shane Bateman with the Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital said a two-faced kitten is extremely rare and there is no real explanation as to why it would have happened.

Poor little kitty. He's essentially a craniopagus conjoined twin (joined at the head) only the rest of the second body didn't develop. Seems a simple enough explanation, but thank goodness that is rare.

That is pretty gross looking in my opinion. I agree though, that it couldnt have survived long. At least it couldnt be likely.

I don't see how a separation would be possible. The kitten will probably be euthanized. :(
its....or "their" already dead...somthin would have been screwed up in its head, plus from the pictures it looks like it would have a hard time eating or suckin off the momma cat.

The one face on the right of picture, it looks like the jaw isn't quite developed yet. Poor thing probably can't eat right. It won't live long I bet though. Too bad. I'd love to have a kitty with 2 faces. I'd charge people to view my kitties of terror. Kill! KILL! :D
Actually, after looking at the picture again, it looks like both faces share one lower jaw. Now that's even crazier! :eek:

Aw, that's very sad. I'm not sure whether to mourn two dead kitties or one though. :(
