I was just reading this... And I realized I've had this before! I didn't go to work for like a week, but I never saw a doctor... holy shit that's trippy. But now I know I'm never using ice in a bong~
hmm i find that hard to believe because it says used chilled water but not ice water when you put ice in it almost melts after 4 hits making the water chilled? and all ice is frozen water what would make it so much worse i dont know...
I'm just thinking about this, and whether or not it could be seriously harmful. I mean, in the great scheme of things, how much more harmful is it than smoking weed or ciggs on a regular basis.
Like anything, extended periods of use can cause harm to people. That goes for a lot of things, like riding rolling coasters all the time can give you chronic headaches, or drinking coffee everyday makes the body more prone to not having energy without caffeine, or drinking soda can rot your teeth.
Everything in moderation, ya know? Even if it DOES harm you, I'm pretty sure that using a bong once a week, or even a couple times a week, won't cause any serious damage. I could be wrong, but....
Never thought of that. Under the right/wrong circumstances, it probably good be a bad thing. Eventually, one could develop pneumonia.

I know for a fact that the steam from hot showers is very beneficial to your lungs. Even if it bad for you, it can't harm you any more than smoking weed does. You guys freak out to much about it, me thinks.

if you think about it, the vapor from the ice has to escape and the smoke probably helps it travel up the bong and into your lungs. once it collected for so long maybe something bad might happen. who knows? i never put ice in a bong anyways.

hmm... ive always heard that smoking out of a water bong helped cut down the carcinogens / tar in the smoke and was one of the cleanest ways to smoke...

First off, don't believe every fucking thing you read or hear ESPECIALLY when it's from other stoners who heard it from someone else who made it up....
Ice in your bong cools the smoke making it easier on the lungs..
That's the whole point of smoking from a bong anyway...to cool the smoke and it acts as a filter because alot of crap is caught up in the bong water as well...
There is some debate about whether or not you get higher with or without a bong or with warm or iced water or which filters crap out better but doesn't get you as stoned etc. etc..
For me...cooler smoke from a water bong is the easier on the lungs and still gets you high as balls...

Omg i always put ice in my bongs but i dont see what difference ice can be to water :/ It just the same about from cooler i would have thought its better for the lungs lol
i dont know if thats true, i use to always put ice in my bong when i first started just cuz the shit would always irritate my throat but the cool water made it seem like i wasn't even inhaling anything until i blew it out, but i guess its possible. But i eventually started to use just cold water from the sink after emptying out the old dirty water.
I live in Denver the Hmidity is about 7% so when i take a Bong Rip with ice, the next breath its dry again. 96 degrees 7 % humidity a little water in them would be good.
Exactly. I wasn't trying to present facts to the community, I brought it here to see if anyone else had heard of it.. I can see how it might be bad for you, but I can also see how this could be a load of crap... One way or the other, I'm not going to stop smoking with iceQuote:
