Something wrong with this clone
Hi all,
I'm slightly worried about this plant. Is this a nute problem?
Using Plagron soi =l with perlite. 400W mh. Just added a tiny bit of Biogreen Xrooting to the water. For the rest, no nutrients have been added (I have this plant since a week).
Thanks in advance.

What's your soil pH?
How close is your light?
Am I imagining that I'm seeing a 'shadow' pattern in the burns on the lower leaves?
It looks scorched, but the young leaves should show more damage if that is the case.

Soil is about 6, light is 60cm's.
No shadow pattern.
I'll see what happens in the next days.

I find that some of my clones go through an almost dieing period but usually come back strong within a week or two.

Well the new leaves are still intact, new tips are growing and they have a nice green color. So far it seems limited to the few lower leaves...

Doesn't look too bad to me.
The soil looks bone dry on top but I guess you fixed that by now.
As for fertilization I like to use a super mild seedling strength to start. Looks like you got a good one.

Mendokid: It was about time to water, however, I'm only watering the center of the pot since the roots have not developed through the entire pot, bad idea?
Update, at some points (circled with red), the yellow seems to become more brown. Looks like a bad sign but I am not sure.
I wonder if this Xrooting could be the problem, I got a free sample from the growshop and its specifically for cuttings. I added a little, about a third they advise on the bottle. I wonder if its a good idea to flush this plant but on the other hand it may cause more stress.

Flushing is a good idea. It looks dry anyway.
So, anyway, what's your soil pH?

pH is Too low! You should raise ph for soil to at least 6.5
water entire pot...you want the roots seeking water all the way around. Otherwise they grow straight to the bottom, and get rootbound.
clones always go through a dying period. If the new growth looks healthy, then monitor that. That is what counts. New growth

Right.. soil ph is between 5.5 and 6.5. Its plagron mix. I am waiting for a PH meter which should arrive monday or tuesday.
I'll water the entire pot from now on The new growth seems to look good.

Cool. it will be great when you get meter...Do you have ph up/down?

give it a good soaking with water, let it dry until the soil pulls away from sides of container. cut off the dying leaves, will help her out

Yeah, I wondered that too. That would fit with pH being way too low.

Little update. Plant seems to do fine now. New growth is looking healthy.
The soil, its Plagon mix especially for cannabis. PH ranges between 5.5-6.5 so that should be ok. Still waiting for my ph meter.
Edit: Will check the exact composition of the soil when I get home from work.

The clones are still what looks to be dying. The soil PH is 6, water PH was 7.5 so I fixed that.
This weekend I was reading a magazine called softsecrets. In this magazing I saw some pictures of dying cannabis plants with problems that look exactly mine. These problems are caused by (freetranslation from dutch to english here) so called weakmakers in vinyl carpets. This stuff is put in vinyl based carpets to make it feel soft. At temps above 20 degrees celcius, this is coming out of the carpet in the air, effectively killing plants.
I just moved house one month ago and put vinyl in every room and was not aware of this. Now it may be that the problems where caused by water PH being off, would love to hear from someone who knows. The growing room is the only room where no carpet at all is. If the carpet is the problem, I'll have to airseal the room and make sure I suck fresh air from outside and not fr0m an empty room as is currently the case.
Will keep this updated with findings.
