i went like 4 days smoking 1 jack, no craving. i was taking wellbutrin, which absolutely kills physical cravings. but of course theres that mental part.
I had gone 5 days untill last night when I found an old pack of Lucky Strikes. Back to trying to quit again.
Keep up the fight... It's a real bitch but,once you finally kick it,,,it feels sooo good...
Its hard as fuck, thats all i can say and im still trying i've cut down from 20 a day to about 3 a day
my friends are trying to quit smoking so they keep buyin packs and then deciding they feel disgusted with themselves and then pawning them off on me! Later on they mooch the same damn ciggarettes they gave me!
I've very recently [in the last week] cut down from about 2 packs to 1 a day so i've gone from 40 a day to 20 a day which is pretty good but i wanna completely quit sometime soon.
i quit a couple months back, never looked back, you just have to have the right mindset about it, you have to WANT to quit badly, before you can kick the habbit completely.

Quiting cigs? Why not substitute weed for cigs and see how that works? :p

i know i want to quit, but i just smoked some chronic, and i know i want to just taste it... not hit it, buuut then.. ill inhale and im HOOKED.
and ill be brutally honest, since sunday, i have had no more than 3 cigarettes.
each time i was high.
if you have a fixation you could do something with your hands and your mouth. Every time you want a ciggarette pop in a lillipop and a video game. Or pleasure your girlfriend ;)

Serriously good luck, I don't know what to tell you. When I quit the 1st time, I freaked out, I loss my apetite, got shitty feeling and was on the verge of tears for a while. I tried the gum/patch thing and it didn't work for shit. The patch made my arm break out and the gum gave me heartburn. I'd rather jam a fork in my big toe than go through another cig withdrawel. I'm gonna quit again some day, but I'll have DR issued medicated help this time.
i quit about two days ago. but this morning i lit one back up. not bad though from going 20 a day to 1 in a day.
I quit each time I had a baby, but I knew my youngest would be my last, so this time it was for good. It was easy to quit because ciggerettes and other bad stuff made me sick. Natures great...My hubby promised to quit by the time the baby came in feb..He had a hard time but 4 months later he's still not smoking...Hes awesome...He used the patch for a few days to kill the habit of smoking, and then he used the gum until the physical cravings were gone...But, you really really have to want to stop. It's like losing weight, you have to get that epiphany....
i really wanna get back into playing sports and shit, so im gonna work on quitting cigs tomorrow. i bought a pack today(smoking one now actually), but tomorrow im gonna see how long i can go between each jack. the last few days ive been going 2-3 hrs w/o one, so thats a good start.
I actually haven't smoked a cigarette in about 4 weeks now. I'm so proud of me! :) You can do it! After about a week or so you won't even crave them like you do now. Good luck!

well i can put 2 and 2 together and sorry MM =/ anytime i did end up smoking again, i ended up telling my wife that day (most of the time she was with me when i picked one up, but other times i would be with like a friend and i would just give in, later that night i'd tell her) i don't know what to tell you but i know you're pissed.. i guess it comes down to, did he really give it a try, then just couldn't do it, or has he just been lying from day one?Quote:

i think the real issue is that I have been made to look like a fool....I did encourage him, and said "wow, youre doing so good...blahblah.." and he kept letting me think that...he did try, but when he gave up he hid it and lied about it...and then i was blamed for not being more understanding....and the truth is, i dont understand, i quit smoking and have never looked back, so i dont have as much sympathy as i should...whatever...i just hate when i get lied to over and over and each time i forgive, and each time i get fucked...and not in a good way...and then im expected to do it again...
i smoked cigs a lil off and on, but i never get addicted, because i have a strong control over my addictions, i quit toking for 6 months, i could stop doing drugs overall, but i just dont by choice
dont believe that zero, I totally believed I was not influenced by it then I didnt smoke for a while when a buddy called me out on it. You dont realize youre addicted if you never give yourself a chance to crave it.
I smoked cigarettes since I was 12. I quit October of last year when I started having shortness of breath, chronic sinus infection, yellow tipped fingers, and the stuff I coughed up in the morning.. well I'll leave that to your imagination. And I feel 10x better when I wake up in the morning/ mid- afternoon. Lol
