Am I loved out at 17?

About 6 months ago, a girl I was seeing totally dumped me over MSN messenger and has ignored/avoided me ever since. I had such strong feelings for her and it was the only time i've ever felt truly depressed :( !

I got over it eventually :cool: , but I think it's affected my faith in relationships. Basically I recently got back with an old girlfriend who I was pretty much 'makeout partners' with in year 7 :D , so we just hooked up recently and started getting funkified one night :p . The thing was, at the time we both said we should go out, but the next morning I realised I just DON'T want a fucking girlfriend. I mean, I barely thought about it since the last breakup I spoke of but I realised I so, completely don't want anything to do with the opposite sex. So I ended it with her the the day after and made myself look like a proper prick, but the point is, I find myself just not attracted to girls much anymore.

Before anyone says it, i'm not gay :p . Obviously I still find the opposite sex attractive but I just don't give a shit anymore, I doubt myself as a boyfriend and feel i'm better off boycotting woman but surely that's not a good thing :( . This ever happened to anyone else?

Yes that usually happens after bad relationships or breakups. No worries. You are still young. Just live your life and things will unfold for you. :)

I agree with sawleaf...there's a lot of things outside of relationships and it's fucked up that society see's "not being with someone" as wrong...I'm 25 and only got into a serious relationship a few months ago, cos i wanted to experience eveything i could as a single guy...so don't stress it, role one and smoke it...

Just like the others said it might take a while. The best thing is just be alone like you are doing. After a bad breakup with a girl from 3 years I thought I couldnt be happy again, but I realized I had to be happy by myself before I could be happy with someone. I am happier now than I was even with her and I know that next time around things will be even better, so dont lose hope, cause things will come around and could even be 10 x better the next time.

I HAVE been happier recently. Before I used to be all like 'maaan, I need a girlfriend baaad' and shit, but now that i've been burned, fuck that for a bag of beans :D , who needs a woman when you've got a joint aye?
I think i'll just take it easy for a while and wait for the right girl to come to me rather then following duds around. Peace! :cool:

i actually think what you are doing is a really good idea.. even if you are doing it subconsciously. staying away from relationships a bit after a serious one is smart.. i always do the opposite and hop into another relationship to get my mind off of my ex, but that causes more damage than it prevents.

im sure that sometime in the future you will find another girl that took your breath away just like the last.

Live yo life...have yo fun...wen u postin wit a female all you can do is make sure that you have as good a time as possible in those moments. When you go home...focus on YOUR obligations...dont saturate sumbody life wit ur problems n pray they dont bring no drama to you.

iv bein with my gf for 7 months now im only 16 and shes 15 im goin on holiday with her for christmas snowboarding :) gona be cool, iv never felt such a strong feeling for a girl i love her so much its unbelievable she says she loves me to people say that no one can love anyone at my age bt im pretty sure im in love, i love bein round her the thought of me and her breaking up is terrible makes me feel sick, hope u find a relationship like mine i enjoy bein with her i love her personality weee im so lucky to have her :)!

ive had this feeling before i know how it feels man when i was about 15 i was going out with this girl and we really were meant for eachother and shit but then someone said that i got drunk and cheated on her and i didnt she understands now but it took almost a year for her to start talking to me

wow. I never got the whole being 15 and in love thing. Even when I was 15. Hey, just remember, you're young yet. You're not required to find your soulmate at 16,17..18..19...etc. It's obvious this girl hurt you alot, other wise you wouldn't mind starting up another relationship. Don't take it too seriously, just date around, have some fun and when the time is right, you'll meet someone worth seriously dating.
