Awhile back I posted a thread about my plants starting to flower out doors in early may. My plants are in the ground and are doing fine except it appears that they are stuck between vegitive growth and flowering. I thought that they would have grown out of trying to flower by now. these plants are 3 to 4 foot tall now,lush green growth and in all respects healthy except the leaf blades are never over 3 and it is always showings some flowering.we are at the longest days of the year i would have hope d the plants would be growing normally.I guess my question is,how will this affect my crop in terms of yield and potency this oct.? Also the ladies are white russians and white rhinos. maybe these strains have some freak in them that makes them act this way. The WR is the most complexed branching plant Ive ever seen, short and very thickwith foliage . Any ideas as to what is going on ? Thanks for your help. Buzz

how were the flowering.....they were inside....?

no, theyve been out doors since mid may. they were started indoors in earily april and started flowering outdoors as soon as i put them outside. this is so wierd. im hoping for a quality crop. i quess i can only wait it out now , thanks Buzz

you said most the leaves have only 3 leaves you got a plant that has more ruderalius in it than suposed to that is why the 3 leaves and the flowering even in the longest daylight days in most cases these strains will not be that potent I have learned not to mess with a strain that has these tendenacies I wouldn't go killin them or anything but it is not a strain you would want to clone and keep around.

i got these seed from doc cronic. the russians breeder was serious seeds and the white rhino from nirvana all these plants started out wiht 5 to 7 fingers per leaf. i just figered that since they were trying to flower they were acting strange. gk youd really have to see to believe, but i swear that they are stuck between veg. and flowering. my first time out on mail order beans. was hoping to go thru winter with some kick ass weed. ill see about some pic . thanks buzz

yes.. sounds very interesting.. hey UGU.. what do you think? now that Buzz has told us the strain.. and the plants DID have 5-7 fingers... is your theory out the door? i am curious what you think.. and I look forward to the pictures....

is there a light leak by any chance during the dark period..?
DO the plants get 12 hours of uninterupted darkness?
Are the night time temperatures cooler than the day time temperatures?

i have a few thoughts... but I need the answers to these questions..

you see...the longest day of the year would be the veg phase...flowering occurs as the day's get shorter...be patient

I still think that is the cause here are some pics at veg and in flower and you can see the difference both times I grew it it did the same thing( it happend in the 1st 2 weeks of flower) so did the domina cross since then if i see a 3 leaf plant I won't mess with it they seem to auto flower they are harder to clone and are normaly way less potent then a pheno without those traits something to look out for in the future.

oh by the way the domina was so bad at auto flowering I had nugs on my mom under 24 hours of light that were about the size of a normal flowering plant at about 20 days

Thanks for vyour responses gents, From the begining,, I started with quility seeds from a repitable vender , doc cronic. The seeds were Kali mist, white russian, and white rhino. seeds were started in earliy april,using jiffy mix and peat pots. The sprouts were kept under 24 hour floressence for roughly 3 weeks. then they were transplanted into1 gal. pots. the soil was good humus mixture from the compost pile. I sent for a soil sample, it read, ph 7,high p and k, med in n, adjustments were made with blood meal. Up untill this pointeverything has been great, no health problems.I srarted hardening off my plants out side and bringing them in at night under flos for about a week untill they were ready to stay outside for good. This is when the flowering started, I thought no big deal they will come out of it, The shock from 24 hour lights to 10 was the problem . Give them a week or two and theyed come out of it. this is when i started making a few post. I kept the plants untill the end of may repotting into 3 gal pots they recieved full sun all day. the pots were mulched heavily with straw to keep the roots from over heating. The plants continued to flowering not heavily or to from any bud ,but as the plants grewthere were alwayhairs at the internodes maybe 10 to 20 the plants were healthy lush green foliage very bushy, but then the fingers on the leaves strated to back down to 3 . the plants never really started to strech like normal. The time come to but them in the ground out in the crountry. I dig big holes mix in myhumus soil , plant my babies, and top dress them with blood meal. i come back 2 weeks later, there growing , the kalis were growing normal , but half the white russians and rhinos were still try to flower and still had only3 fingers. I went to pay them a visit this weekend after some good rains and hot weather( this is where i get my good growth from in the past) they were 3 to 4 feet tall, healthy bushy, the russians is the most complexed branched ive ever seen, that stain is very, very bushy. same ole shit 3 fingers and trying to flower. I think im going to have to deal with this and hope for the best. But id like not to have this problem next year I hope you guys can help me out on this. pic will be comming this weekend. There is really no way to guarentee a good pheno unless it is a clone from a grower that can tell you if its good or not any time you go from seeds you can get undesirable phenos what I would do is start a indoor grow that you can do some genetic testing and get a good mom for all your future grows that is the only full proof way of knowing what your growing. I have spent a lot of time with genetics that just didn't cut it and it is frustrating to have a beatiful plant with no real problems that does wierd shit by the time you find out your a couple of months in but what can you do

ugu, Thanks for your reply, The reality of the mater is I dont have time to play around with coning and finding out which pheneo will work out. I was hoping that i could buy some good genedic and grow some good smoke for myself. to be honest ive always used bag seeds in the past and the plants grow and i got decent smoke. Spend a few bucks on good seeds and things get complicated,lol. Can you reccommend a good stable strain for the future?I just want some killer weed to smoke ,the plants dont have to be big producers.they only need to be grown outside Thanks again Buzz
