anyone else feel like if we live past 65 we'll be like a chrime againt nature.
i personally dont want to live that long thanks to alchahol, weed, and yes caffene i drink on average two fat energy drinks a day in excess with the other stuff. just felt like telling everyone this. no point :dance:
anyone else kinda feel the same way, plus if life is a precurser to the afterlife why dont we live the afterlife first

I mean even in a retirement home, I'll just be playing really cool games on a psp. By that time I will probably just link the toy to my brain and experience some fun.

Even so, I guess its kinda redundant, when we are supposed to recieve all knowledge once we die? Or, something to that effect. Someone ice themselves and tell me what's up with that. I guess we're just supposed to develop our morals and values as existing... thingies... while we're here. I don't even think we can fuck that up... unless we kill a bunch of hamsters of something for fun... Even then, I wouldn;t hold it agaisnt ya... sick fucker.

I always felt the same too, im way more afraid of growing old than dying. Im even freaked out that im turning 18 in a month cause its a reminder that im getting closer.
I dont like old people unless theyre the wise type that has profound things to say
I think most of them are just a bunch of crazy confused idiots that are too afraid to die: watching tv and sleeping all day is not living
long as my daughter has kids, then my grandaughter and grandson has kids, there will always be a piece of me around ha ha.

"boring" or whatever the argument is. how much more boring will it be than life is right now. i mean, youll (presumably) still have friends at that age, all the seniors i know have friends. they enjoy each others company and i think thats what life is really all about. connecting with other human beings. we should revel in that and want hold on to it as long as we can. sure, theres shit. sickness, betrayal, divorce, unemployment, and so on. but most of us have good friends. think about it. how much do you really appreciate the time with those close to you, whether youre depressed or not. think about it at night, before you go to bed. think about the memories from the "good old days" and realize (because theres no other way around it) that there are so many memories to be had. good and bad, just like the ones you hold on to now. i mean, just keep on smokin, keep on chillin with the buddies, keep on living. ya know?
i hope i make sense. maybe its just the pot talking :)

Honestly, the only reason I would live past my fifties (or maybe it'll be sixties in the next forty years, ya' never know what the standards for life will be), is to see the technology. Dreams, books, sci-fi movies, chemically constructed drugs, all that stuff has me eagerly awaiting what's next.. If they develop virtual reality, like REAL virtual reality, then yes, i'd like to live forever. But if they don't... if the world just decays slowly as I age... then I'd like to die next to a big fat bong, smoke still curling up around my head... around 55... Theres only so much you can do when your body is unable to get you there.
I don't want to be an old man that can't control his bowels, but I think we'll all be surprised the things we can do when we're older. You want to die when you're 55? My father is 55 and he bench presses 300 pounds. That's how much he works out with, not his max. I personally feel like if he can accomplish that in this day and age how much of a badass could I potentially be at his age? Of course, I always predicted I'd go the way of the rock gods and die at 27.....

In twenty years, you'll have the same brains, only they work better (99% of the time). Maybe, slower. Wait until then until you starting talking shit about wanting to die. If you want to die now, then I think we should all jump all over you and offer you help. That girl up there is 19. Compare that with her life when she was 2. Everyday, we fill up our brains (mmm, brains...) with memories and exercise our intellectual capabilities on mundane activities.
I think that 70 year-olds are geniuses, and, they know enough to keep their mouth shut.
When its our time it will happen..no matter what control we think we have over life & death. After reading this thread it did make me laugh (in a good way) I am 41 and looking forward to every day I have left..the last few years have been the best & I really enjoy life more now than I did when I was in my 20's. The young people around here usually make us "old folks" feel younger..I haven't talked with any that put a # on when they feel life is over though...guess its what one makes it.
