a break off razor blade thingy. some times scissors, mostley knifes. or I wont use any tools and just burn the resin thats in my slide with the lighter by lighting the outside of the glass stem of the slide.
Safety pin:thumbsup:
If that doesn't work - bag it and boil it :).
Only when i'm dry.. which is like every day:( .
...except tomorrow:dance: :rasta: :stoned:
I lit the outside of my bubbler with a torch lighter for a extended time - smoke started building up like a mother.. hit that shit and I was like a kite:dance:Quote:

Sorry for the double post.
I use safety pins. I twist them around so they're like a long needle thing. I heat the outside of the pipe to soften up the resin. It's a hell of a job but when you're dry it comes in handy.
Ya know what works really good is the little tiny screwdriver that comes in eyeglass repair kits...been using it for years!
I found a steel rod at work that is the exact OD of my stem's ID. (If you don't know what I'm saying, I'm saying that its a tight fit.)
Literally two plunges and my stem is clean!
I use a knife.. then I move to a paper clip for the smaller areas. Then I just run it under hot water... sometimes I put some salt in the pipe to get some friction going.. that seems to work really well at getting all the resin out. I've boiled my glass pipe a couple times, but I've heard that this can lead to cracks in the glass, so I stopped doing it. Is that completely wrong, or will boiling damage a pipe?
mini pocket knife ftw
insence stick and coat hanger.
As many times as this thread has come up, I forgot about the BEST tool I've found for resin scrapping. Get a wooden ruler and take the metal straight edge off of it. You can either use it as is (scrape the pipe with the edge, not the flat side) or what I do is stick it in my pipe and twist it in such a way that I can rotate the pipe around and the resin ends up on the straight edge.
I Normally use a mini pocket knife/ paper clip
dude if you want it super clean like new..put some salt in your pipe and then pour rubbing alcohol in there and close the holes and shake the fuck out of it. do that a few times and it will look like it did when you bought it!
